Horizons That's me done

I think I've had enough, spent 18 months getting enough credits to buy an Anaconda only to get destroyed twice the second time didn't have enough credits for the insurance so back to the sidewinder. Not about to spend another 18 months getting back to where I was, some of my misfortune was done to the what I thought was an unfair advantage of the AI attackers which came with the recent dates.

Why are you flying an Anaconda without insurance if you don't know how to fly an Anaconda?

Anyway, submit a support ticket and ask them if they can do something to get your ship back.

Agreed. I filed a bug report, nothing heard of it. I am playing ED for a long time, never saw that extremly strong NPc.

OP>
Please read my thread ref my unarmed Conda.

As already mentioned, if you do keep playing, pleasure ensure you have insurance funding.

To the frontier, this is "the fun": u work for months to loose all in one day to a "terrible" Eagle CHEETED with infinite weapons, magical pilots NPC.

Its is all. Bounty its a shame...missions? Who loose time make 'missions' with ridiculous rewards? U go fly 1000000000 LY for 1000 credits? Interdiction? Why all time u gain 'interdiction'? For 'fun'...no rason...nothing...Rank NOTHING change in game. We still with a terrible system mechanic in combat, if u shoot ONE time... a security forces, u go die, no have tolerance for nothing. System informations its a SHAME too. Nothing about nothing...in furuture, nobody create a single system automatic navigation, just to land...

Yes, 'very fun'.

Ty Frontier for loose time in Arena...loose time in enginners...for what? Only 'better weapons'? For crist...

An Eagle flying FA Off can stay in the blind spot of an Anaconda fairly easily. With 2.1 people are learning that Anacondas and Pythons are not combat ships.

Yeah, everyone should just become Elite pilots and accept this ridicilous increase in difficulty, "git gud" or die trying, literally.

Thing is, most gamers don't have the time or the energy to do it. Frontier took the easy way out here, to me it seems that the actual flying skills of the AI pilots hasn't increased that much, they are still slow and easy to track, thing is, their damage has increased alot, like exponentially. This is one way of making the game harder, but it is annoying and does not feel rewarding. FPS games does it, DOOM did it, the AI behaviour doesn't change, only the damage taken does. Same here in Elite Horizons.

Here is a short video of me and my friend in two Eagles, attacking a lone wanted Adder at a Nav Beacon, he almost kills us both, the reward? 10K credits. Just notice how fast he takes down my shields and hull, lmao.

Engineers is just another grind added for us to be as competitive as before, how about you just make the AI piloting / flying better and leave their weapons at default, would make more sense and balance it.

I did have insurance when I first purchased it but at 7+ million credits it blows a big whole in the credit bank and not having enough time to get more was too helpful. It's also automatic that insurance is provided anyway, that's what I assume, I've never asked for it but it's always been there what ever ship I have had

Might just stick FSX no baddies there, or Star Citizen even

I lost 3 Pythons since 2.1 dropped. My cash on hand has gone from 280,000,000 to 307,000,000. So while I lost some I made up a lot more and would even have a bigger balance except I have gone to rock hunting ahh I mean mineral hunting rare items. The point is making a lot of money with a few trades isn't hard, and in an Anaconda should be a lot easier as can carry a lot more items. All I do when I have a valuable load of cargo, submit, boost, back to SC and on my way. If nothing of real value I fight it out. I do find the NPC unlimited chaff a huge issue and they need to play fair and run out when they should.

*spits out coffee* cheers for that :D

OP - flying an anaconda and defending it from smaller ships is REALLY REALLY HARD. Don't be too disheartened, just see if you can get your ship back and build up a bit slower - the bigger ships are such slow lumbering beasts that they're nothing like as much fun as the others IMHO - no dogfighting fun

Instead of ranting , how about taking on the helpful advice provided on the forum? It seems many like to use a few unhelpful 'git gud' posts as an excuse to reject all advice.

Your video demonstrates a failure on a basic level, it has nothing to do with being a high skilled combat pilot. You had ZERO pips in shields whilst under fire, you then applied pips once your shields went down :/

That is a lack of understanding the very basics of combat in Elite dangerous, previously you could get away with being that sloppy.

It was your fault. To buy an anaconda without money to fit ir, and also without the money for insurance... 18 months playing a game and you still don't know the game basics. I fly an anaconda with 60 mcR of equipment and always have 20 mcR on my wallet just for the case.

AI are far to strong for the average/wider player, had enough of it myself.
Never had an issue with AI until recently, whilst I'm not a shoot 'em person I've done a little on here and earn't few credits

Just for once someone post a video please that doesn't just show more terrible no skill flying. It just proves why you are dead. It's pointless.

That isn't really helpful, and it gives guy's like CMDR Mortal1ty an excuse to use the 'Git Gud' card & reject all advice. The issue in that video isn't his flying, it is his lack of understanding the basic foundation of defence.

This is the major problem we are seeing with cmdrs, even if the flying skills are average or above average, they are fighting the same as before, but never learnt how to properly defend themselves, they never needed to do that with the old AI. Now they are throwing the same punches, but when they get hit back they are getting knocked for six.

The easiest way to look at 4 pips Vs 2 or 0 in SYS is like blocking a punch, 4 PIPS is like a block, zero pips is like standing there and letting someone take a swing at you.

All he needed to do was manage PIPS in SYS correctly, he could have still got away with sloppy flying and kept his shields up.

Hah... never knew ED had this many pilots that don't know the basics...

It really isn't surprising, unless you flew in Open there was absolutely no reason to learn basic defence in this game. You could just stick PIPS into WEP & ENG and blast NPC's all day. As a trucker all you had to do was put PIPS into engines and fly in a straight line during the cooldown.

End result, a selection of cmdrs on the forum complaining about OP NPC's.

Sad but true, I think this probably goes a long way to explaining why the anti all and any PvP brigade are quite so vocal.

I imagine after having to learn to fly at all they'll be less afeared, which can only be good for everyone.
