Simple and stupid navigation question

Hello,

yesterday I finally took my "Resolute" to longer expedition. Without any specific destination, I am planning to go somewhere in the Formidine Rift (as good place as any other) and beyond.
Partially for role-play reasons, my ship is configured for a heavy long range, long term recon/scientific expedition so the ship configuration is far from those "Exploring specials", but still have a decent jump range 31.x Ly (succesfull Level 4 FSD range modification).

So far, so good. But I have one question about navigation and route planning. Is there some possibility to tell the route-planner to take into account the fuel scooping ? I tried to select a system 500 Ly away from me and the route planner calculated the way throug six consequent non-scoopable stars (ship is able only to do four jumps without refuelling). Luckily, I have the habit to check the route on map before jump so I do not need the service of Fuel Rats.
I do not know if it is some kind of bug or if I am doing something wrong. Of course, I can plan my way in 100 Lys pieces ending always at scoopable system, but if this is necessary, why the route planner have limit 1000 Ly ?

Thx for any advice

Unfortunately... this is not a feature yet. You can plot to a distant point... but the plotting program does its thing independent of our Routing Wishes :p
If they implement some sort of Way Point plots (one after the other.. etc) it would be pretty cool and be able to do what you are asking about.

Best to figure out where the Unscoopables are along your route and plot points either above or below that area. (You'll see them by selecting all the non-scoop star types in the Map and leaving the Scoopable types O-B-A-F-G-K-M unchecked)

Currently there is no way to keep the route plotter from trying to kill us when we're out exploring.

Unless you're specifically looking for something in or near an unscoopable layer, it's usually a good idea to plot a route at least a few hundred light years above/below that layer.

It's also advised to check out the stars along any route to make sure there aren't too many L's, Y's and TT's in a row.

^^ hit the nail on the head

Are the unscoopables brown dwarfs or T Tauri? If they're between dwarves then you're probably either on or very near the galactic plane. Try going 200 lys or so up or down, and you'll encounter MUCH fewer of them.

The one I had a problem was T Tauri. Those stars have a nasty habit that they "looks" scoopable :)

If that 6A fuel scoop is there to save money, a 7B would be both cheaper and much better than a 6A.

Good point, I missed this. Next time, I will change it, but I will not return for it.
