- When determining the rank of NPC ships, use the player's combat rank, rather than their highest PF rank, although add 1 rank if their trade or exploration rank is higher than their combat rank
Then wording updated to :
- When determining the rank of NPC ships for interdiction, use the player's combat rank, rather than their highest PF rank, although add 1 rank if their trade or exploration rank is higher than their combat rank
- alter the changes in allowed interdiction ranks based on security, so that the biggest rank disparities are reserved for very low security and anarchy systems
- Reduced the number of engineer mods on AI ships substantially, now only Deadly & Elite rank ships are guaranteed to have mods and any below Master are guaranteed to have none
- Slightly reduced the ranks below an AI that they can interdict players, this will tighten up the difficulty a bit
----------------------------------------------------
If you get interdicted on the way back in to bubble the NPC will not be higher than your combat rating, unless you are Elite in Exploration or Trading. Then the NPC can be 1 level higher than your combat rating.
Then again this is a disadvantage to high combat rated Cmrds, as it means you have to be on your toes when entering the bubble(or fight, but then your ship might not be set up for it)
This should alleviate some worries for some Cmdrs, but once again if you are worried then listen to the collective wisdom here :
- get in to a wing for escort back in to the bubble
- park up asap when entering the bubble, and sell, or buckle up in a combat ship before going further
- when interdicted, submit & set 4 pips to shields and high wake out(make sure you have next system already chosen)
