Amazon.co.uk doesn't have them at Oculus prices there £400 more, what's Oculus doing selling 10 to a private company to profiteer.

Thats disgusting, it says limited 1 per customer when u order, i wonder how these shops have got 10+ in stock yet my order says estimated shipping august. :/

I tried to order one at $667 ... they wont ship to UK ... seems were been bent over left right n centre here :/ mite just cancel n go with vive

Available on Amazon Germany for 1,099.- €, in stock and sold by Oculus... I like the 699.- € i payed as a pre order a little better. Especially, when i look at my flame new Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, which would not stand here, if i had to pay 1.1k...

They allow company to buy multiple headset to make profit and normal people are screwed up. They are now delivering reseller in USA meanwhile in europe we still wait preorder.

They have a chance that the vive is completely buged with elite....

Theres alot not right... starting to lose faith in big companies playing games especially with the tricks they pulled trying to get some games rift only. You dont see HTC messing around and they have 3 day shipping :/ really tempted to switch sides.

It pure profiteering from a third party supplier, who are NOT Oculus. Somehow they started with 10 available, but are selling them for a profit. For those desperate enough to pay that premium, here is an option. For everyone else, pre-orders from Oculus officially are still August.

Or, get a Vive for the same price and get it in a couple of days directly from HTC, rather than being ripped off! :p

The vive works well with Elite. There are just too many trolls in this forum. Edit the steam config file according to vive resolution thread and image quality should be at least as good as cv1. Then you might wonder why this fix is not communicated by frontier .. but that is another thing.

@Y2K - I tried both Rift and Vive and i own a Rift now. The Vive gets warmer and is heavier, which i found not very comfortable, especially for longer gaming sessions. Installation or change of workplace is also much easier with the Rift. The quality inside the units is almost identical. The Rift is sharper, while the Vive offers better field of view, but those differences are very small.
If you want to play mostly simulators, i recommend staying with the Rift. Just to share some field experience.

I have used the vive for several hours with no issues and if you wear glasses or want room scale the vive is the obvious choice. Have a look at some reviews and feedback on the net and try to filter out witch are reliable sources.

Just....wow about that German price. Still, no reason to complain about gouging. This isn't a basic need like food or water. It's a highly specialized peripheral for a market that is, by definition, already quite wealthy (couldn't afford a computer to run it if it weren't). They'll gear up soon enough, competition will emerge, and prices will drop. Just be happy that we're living in an age where this tech is even possible, let alone increasingly available to the masses.
