Depends on how it is implemented... as far as the engineer mods are concerned, I would say it is bad. I would like to see a flat bonus i.e. "You give engineer (x), engineer gives you (y)."

I would also like to say:
R= Randomly
N= Negating
G= Gameplay

The "RNG" term originally designates the actual processing part in charge of generating random numbers (a function which can be hardcoded or softcoded, doesn't really matter in the end, but generating "truly" random numbers requires significant effort). Everything you see in a game which produces "true" random results (and not something that seems random) is based on a RNG of some sort.

In game-design, the term is used more broadly as a moniker for "randomness".

A good example of RNG posing as AI is is Elite.:(

OP. Probably a good idea to use Google first, as mentioned above. I actually thought you're thread was a sly, but amusing dig at FDev.

This is possibly the friendliest and most helpful forum on the planet. Let's not erode people's generosity of spirit by being lazy. (I hadn't meant that harshly so much, but then I realised that you put far more effort into this thread than a search box!)
