Open Letter To Frontier:

The pleasantries and compliments on the Exploration forum have gotten out of hand. We really need an congeniality nerf to bring levels of vitriol, ranting and whining back into line with the rest of the boards. Until it is, I'm afraid I'm just not going to play any more. Yeah, take that, face, what are you going to rest your glasses on now that I've cut my nose off...

I don't like what you have written. I have no reason to dislike what you have written but I feel I must take a contrary position to yours. Therefore, I shall now embark upon a poorly constructed, self-contradictory and grammatically poor diatribe which eventually reaches no definite conclusion but angers many people.

It shall include:


  • Misspelling lose
  • Wild use of the apostrophe
  • Freely inter-mixing they're, their and there
  • Text speak
  • Putting a degree on an absolute
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Caps Lock and
  • Starting Each Word With A Capital

There may be other examples apparent; I shall revise the original list accordingly.

That's you told.

I do fear that all that whining and trash in Dangerous discussion will start to affect FD and the game itself. By time it may erode the community, FD's dedication - and the game itself will degrade too.

On the other hand, it's the same on all gaming forums...

I agree 100%. I used to frequent the dangerous discussion board, but once this board started, I made my home here. I find people here much more inclined to be patient and polite (must be tea drinkers) and there doesn't seem to be that common trait when people are online generally of feeling remote and secure, and therefore rude and aggressive :)
