Anyone seen the new BvSM Dawn of Justice movie yet? If not then I recommend it, the ultimate edition if possible as the plot is way way more coherent with the extra material. The tomatometer and critics got this one badly wrong. It's not a "fun" movie in the same way the old Superman and Batman movies were, or the way the Marvel movies are, but this is a lot better to watch I think.

But for those who have seen it, do you think that Ben Affleck has answered the naysayers who cried out in horror when he was announced as the new Batman? I think he has and then some. This is the sort of comic-book Batman we've never seen on screen. Remember we're talking about a man who dresses up as a bat then goes out and beats the crap out of people, because his parents were murdered in front of him when he was a small child. We're talking about a man with serious issues. Most of the on-screen portrayals of Batman have been of a very nice gentleman who will save the day.

Afflecks Batman does have a heart, but he is still is a psychotic lunatic will still break your neck if you give him a reason.

First Batman scene:

His Bruce Wayne is also pretty much spot on, although he does have the pretty phenomenal Jeremy Irons in support for that.

This is the first movie I've seen about a man who dresses up as a bat and beats up poor people which has actually had some exciting violence in it. Warehouse scene:

Anyway, what do ya'all think of the Batfleck?

I had seen the movie version at it was poor... So you saying the recut is much better?

I think so yes. It depends on what you found poor about it. The theatrical version was a bit of a mess in its narrative. The plot didn't quite hold together and there were some quite big holes and unexplained jumps. The cut material does seem to fill in those blanks.

If you found it poor because of acting/action/thematic style then the extended version won't change your opinion of the movie.

My view, in summary: awful film, but probably the best Batman in a film yet. I have the ultimate edition blu-ray pre-ordered, but have expectations set for low.

Yup. That was my first problem with it.

Watched the first clip...sorta reminded me of the first scene in the matrix when Trinity gets busted...has the same gritty, dark vibe to it. I like it so far...fight scene in the warehouse gets a thumbs up ^^

The Honest Trailer has landed.

Obviously, major spoilers are contained within.

contains that a-hole Jesse Eisensprunk. I can't watch him without wanting to gouge my eyes out and stick railroad spikes in my ears.
