They're currently hosted on Photobucket. If you click on the pic, it'll take you there. You can then use the download link to get the full size image.

Dante80 is also keeping a set on his Imgur site, so you can also access them here in case Photobucket flips out on me.

Enjoy!

I tacked on one today. Kinda tired today, probably because of all the rain that's come down.

I took a bunch of pics earlier, but they didn't save for some reason. So I just got done re-taking several pics.

I'm back in an Eagle again, which means I can't take full-size screenshots. So I'll make a few more wallpapers with the pics I have and then take a break til after Premium Beta comes out.

Lovely, thanks! I've tried the same sort of thing but found I couldn't get a clear shot from a Sidewinder, canopy always got in the way. What ship do you find the best? I've not had a chance to try the others since the credit boost.

As an aside, you played with larger FOV values by editing the settings file directly? Quite fun.

I actually use the Sidewinder to take the shots. It's the only ship you can do it in.

When you get to your destination, go into free-look and look directly above you. You won't have any canopy lines blocking the view.

Then I pick and merge two pics, and then the hard part... cleaning up lens flare and trying to blend the two pics together.

Ahhh, ok, I hadn't realised you took multiple shots and stitched. I was hoping for a single shot method! I suffer more from cockpit clutter because I've tweaked the FOV up to 70 via the settings file (max using ingame slider is 60) - you get nice wide views but also see more cockpit, of course.

What I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE would be a "no UI screenshot" button, i.e. press it and it takes a shot of what you're looking at straight ahead, but without any of your cockpit or HUD rendered - just the exterior of the ship. I can see absolutely no "balance" issues with that - the shot would be saved to disk, not displayed - and it'd solve 90% of the "I want 3rd person camera!" issues, all bar the wanting to see one's own ship.

Today's 5 wallpapers focus on 2 of the space stations. Freeport in the LP 98-132 system and Azeban City in the Eranin system.

Barns, I agree with you! Having better picture taking ability would be great.

Wow very beautiful images! Thank you!
But could you do them again in 5120x1440? :D

PS: I just tried and remembered that default windows is doing really bad with dual monitor wallpapers :/ Any tips for a free program to do this?
PPS: Never mind, it's easy wth dual monitor tools, no install required. Just select both screens in the tool and select "understretch" :)

Actually, there's an easier way to get Windows to work w/ dual-monitor wallpapers. Just select "Tile" instead of any of the other options (like Center, Fill, etc)!
