The powers that be only just announced the possibility to change or acquire a commander name so I assume the NPC names (deployment) will be further down the line, especially if they allow us to designate NPC profession or gender. I do love your NPC name.

Yeah good points. As for the name.............That is the name I used to use as a kid for all my adventure games... Thongor due to the hero of fantasy books I once read. No idea where wugaboo came from..... I had a game called bugaboo ( the flea ) I presume it was something to do with that.
as far as I know we will not have any say in how our NPC names will be used (or even if names will be kept intact - as in - Bob Turnip .. might end up as 1000's of turnips and 20 bob's) .. we just don't know

Great thought process. My NPC naming outcome was less deliberation and more duplication.
I chose my wife for my npc name. Should have chosen the ex in the hope I could run across her in game

She might be a barmaid or a ruler of a planet!
One of the first things I'm going to try and do it track down the NPC with my suggested name

I think it is 3 databases, 1st name, & surname to mix up AND literal as well
