Warrior is about to die!.....

As well as Elite, another memorable game of my youth was Gauntlet in the arcades. I remember of 4 of us stood round the game and trying to get as far as possible without putting any extra money in !

Well would you believe it is be remade! It is available for pre-order on steam here.

I really hope that they don't **** this up, like the horror that unleashed with another retelling of a classic game from my childhood, The Bards Tale.

Weirdly enough, other than Tetris and Minesweeper, Gauntlet was the only game my mum played back in the day. I don't think she'd like the new one...

Minti2

Deadly, But very fluffy...
I absolutely loved the old Gauntlet game (only two games the wife and me ever played games together, the other was Civ series) and this one looks great, just hope it plays great to, thanks for link :)

If you want to play the original and have an iPhone/iPad the search for Midway Arcade in the app store. Gauntlet 1&2 are in an extra pack that you have to buy but it's bang on from what I remember.

Elf needs food.... Badly....

Got to admit that was my favourite multi player game...

After school on most days i would cycle several miles, rain or shine to play the game with someone who had it.... I didnt even like the guy that much...

He lived in a pub, always smokey, plus he had two very big Dobbermans, one was called Ninja.... it would just sit there and watch me whilst I played....

I would glance over and it was sitting dead still.... but I swear a few inches closer then last time I checked....

I left when i felt its drool running down my neck.

The kid is in jail now.... Still, he made a very effective Valkyrie to my Elf.

Overall happy memories.... all be it with a slight nightmarish tinge to them....

I remember well playing Gauntlet in the Arcade, still remember the music well.

I also remember the buzz when this came out :

Although to be honest, there wasn't much of a game to it, but visually I was amazed.
