The access to the WikiLeaks website blocked in Turkey. The Turkish telecoms regulation announced today, to have blocked the access to WikiLeaks news website after the publication by the latter of hundreds of thousands of emails written by the officials from the Justice and Development Party (AKP ).

Not really love though. More a marriage of convenience.
Merkel was under huge pressure because of the migrant crisis and voters shifting to the far right parties because of it.

It is entirely her fault. The pressure of the crisis of migrants has been accentuated by her irresponsible calls to want to welcome everyone. But this is an old debate on these forums ...

Millions were already on their way when she said that. And the reasons why the refugees are fleeing are certainly not Merkels fault.
Besides it doesn't make a difference. Germany, France and Britain would still be prime targets for refugees.
And putting up borderfences and armed security doesn't solve the problem. It just shifts it to another country. And once the number of refugees in that country reaches a critical point you'll either get a lot of dead/arrested at the border or they find ways to circumvent it.
It's not as easy as 'Put them in a plane back to Syria and the problem is solved' or 'It's Merkels fault, close the borders.'.
It is normal that you defend your Chancellor for her political faults. It is common knowledge "European" that Merkel has acts alone without asking the opinion of her european partners. Her politics has been contested even in her political party
I don't defend it. I merely state that the migrant crisis isn't her fault and that not saying "Refugees are welcome" wouldn't have changed the situation.
I support Merkel for a simple reason: The alternatives are worse. Way worse.
Since the CDU/CSU is a center-rightwing party, it was expected that it will be contested.

What would you guys want? Fortress Europe with locked down borders? When refugees from Syria, iraq or Afghanistan try to flee here their boats are sunk by our navies?

Nope, what i want to end the mess, what causes the refugee crisis and keep out the immigrants, and unwanted elements.
You know it's a nice thing to help on others, but not in the cost to let in some religious morons just to knife us because we are amoral by their standards, because we drink alcohol, our womens not wearing sackclothes, and don't follow the islamic rules.
And i did not mentioned terrorism.
That doesn't answer my question. If you had your way, what would be done about the refugees? It is the question Europe needs to answer. The voices calling for inhuman treatment have gotten stronger. Some celebrate the pictures of drowned children, or claim it's all propaganda and fake pictures. People attack assylum centres and dark skinned people in the streets.
Clearly some think our borders should be utterly closed to refugees. You didn't seem to like that suggestion. What do you think we should do? When a boat of desperate people are in the Med heading for Europe, what should be done?
