What I'm annoyed about is that I've grinder my socks off (gone through my fair share of frustrations but hey) to get my Cutter, Clipper and Fdl to a decent spec and now they're making everything easy again. Yes the discovery scanner change and drop rates are welcome but not Dumbing Down the engineers themselves because a select group of people can't seem to get time investment = reward
So you bothered to suffer the B.S. sandwich (a.k.a. the Masochist's Special), knowing it was a B.S. sandwich, got your cookies in the end, and now you want all other players to have to suffer too?
Like, dude, congrats for pushing through but be a little reasonable here.
Back right after 2.1 came out, it wouldn't make sense to get your ship blown up and then demand all other players have to get their ships arbitarily blown up by Fdev too.
Same logic applies here.
The fact you, Marc, and others have the balls to complain about Frontier finally doing something about one of the most-complained issues in the game right now (albeit it has only been a couple months, though it feels a bit longer cause of the build-up), is nothing short of foolishness.

Any sense of achievement of gathering billions of credits, Gone.
What?
A. nothing to do with Engineers
B. ask any new player how 'easy' billions of credits are easy to get, get real here.
Any sense of achievement at being elite, Gone.
Oh, right, that grind that takes months of diligent work and effort, totally doesn't mean a thing, yup
Oh, and by the way, again, nothing to do with Engineers
Any sense of achievement for engineered equipment, Gone.
Lol, really?
You still have to grind up reputation. (Doubly so if you dare use it to get special effects....)
You still have collect hundreds of materials from varying locations.
Your detailed scanner now has a real use and point for existing in your ship, not just extra credits or extra astrological details that have no use to a player.
You still have to jump through hoop after hoop after hoop just to unlock the darn Engineers in the first place.
The game is approching the point where a drunken squirrel will have a fully upgraded and engineered anaconda in a week.
You're off your rocker.
