Prem beta, new install or...

Hey folks,

I'm part of the premium beta crowd and can't wait for tomorrow. However, I do have a few questions and I haven't been able to find answers to them.

- I'm assuming there'll be a patch, when will this be ready to download?
- what's the wisest; simply update the current game or do a clean install?

Anyone knows?

In all likelyhood you will get notification when logging into the launcher it requires a update.

But FD will make an announcment here on the forum when it's ready to download.

There shouldn't be a need to do a clean install unless FD suggests doing it or you have problems trying to run the game.

Please let it be, but when you say Friday do you mean UK time Friday or the usual USA Pacific Time Zone -8PTS bable bable bable time table conversion nightmare.

Please pretty please let it be UK time for a change.

I think that announcement comes always first and update notification appears later. At least this is how it was when A4 was released - the launcher was updated in the store first.

And the patch system is not there yet. So you will have to download the new launcher, which downloads the game. Then installer uninstalls the previous version and makes clean install of the new one.

All releases were by the UK time (GMT or BST), including A4, which was released about 8PM BST the 15th of March. So no worries about it.

I know they have offices abroad but Frontier are a UK company so it's pretty safe to assume that any times stated will be UK times.
