I put my name change request in more than 24 hours ago, but it has not taken effect yet. I consider sending a message to the dev's that my name is not vulgar in any way, it just Nordic for "Yellowbeard".

On the issue of not being able to include ranks in your name, that's a good thing as I would have been too tempted to choose "Captain Obvious" ('Cmdr Obvious' just doesn't have the same ring to it).

When the early alpha backers chose their names, there was some waiting too, several days IIRC.

So be patient - as long as your name is not rejected, it's in queue for evaluation.

I thought that would be Gul Skjegget in Norwegian, or Gul Skägg in Swedish
