I’m not sure the file you seek is specific to alpha builds, I could be wrong: my local folder within Appdata is showing two folders;

Frontier Developments and Frontier_Developments

Hopefully some one can help us unbind this bind we find ourselves in.

You can find controller bindings here:

C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings

Oh no I can't. :(

I came in at Premium Beta and don't quite have that path. Many years ago I made all folders and files visible, so that isn't the problem. I have ...
c:/Users/[MyName]/Appdata/Local/Frontier_Developments/

... but then I have 3 folders :-
"EDLaunch.exe_url_lotsoflettersandnumbersnonottheseonessilly"
"logs"
&
"Products"

The nearest thing I can find is :-
C:\Users\Duncan\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1000\OptionDefaults

However, this folder has lots of "binds" files from December 2013. ie presumably the default ones and not my edited one.

Yes there is. Sorry, but I don't have it to hand and haven't done it myself. I intend to re-find it and follow the steps when I get a newer version. Just search the forum and you'll find the steps. They were apparently just on the Alpha areas, but have since been made more public.

I think that the control binding for Alpha 1.1 is stored in a file at:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options

I'll be taking some screenshots or photos tomorrow though since I don't think that this method of storing keybinds will be transferrable. I think the size of the sliders for sensitivity change anyway so it'll be back to square one.

followed the instructions, the installer saves to the DIR, but the game still wants to install to C: :(

Given that we're now one day before the PB, I'd say that clearly suggests that as being a rumour. You may, of course, be in a different time zone, but FD are in the UK and here, now, it's Thursday! :D

Smeg it, I'll take Friday off anyway, just in case. Even if the beta doesn't drop until the evening I can spend the day doing something else with my partner :D

(or I could just try and get past wave 7 of Incursion (trying to avoid the flying backwards trick)!)

Hopefully I didn't come across too negative in my earlier posts regarding the length of the potential gap during beta between alpha and beta players, but it left me thinking I would wait to see how it worked in practice before deciding on an upgrade to PB. I was also expecting the new module for SC to release today which would give me a distraction ;)

Anyway, what with the SC delay (days/weeks?) and the fact I also just stumped up for a new joystick, and that I probably couldn't bare to continue just watching people have so much fun streaming Elite on Twitch, I just purchased the upgrade and will now (im)patiently wait for tomorrow.

I look forward to seeing a few of you chuckle at me in the beta, as I inevitably crash a few times while trying to dock :D

Just received a Samsung 840 EVO 250gb SSD and reinstalled my Alpha 1.1 on that. Loads much faster now :)

Any word on when tomorrow PB starts? I would expect sometime in the early afternoon UK time?

hi just hoping that i can play with my x55 and want to know if any one know if its going to be supported ?
