You say they "must" align. But I built my circle using CAD software, then superimposed the circle so they are coradial (I think that's the right terminology. In other words, the circle perimeters are on top of each other) and I discovered that the center is not along the vertical nor the horizontal for the grid that is shown inside the circle.

I've tried it, nothing new is revealed, you just get a lumpy surface with the symbols raised up out of it all at the same height because they're all a similar amplitude.

It just occurred to me that I don't think that non-horizons holders will be left out of this. We aren't looking for anything on the surface. The barnacles are a curiosity. We need to find something in merope similar to the voyager discovery. We need to use the map to chart a supercruise course. I'm guessing. Probably will find some kind of ship out there.

This. I have been working using the long/lat idea with the upper part being hteir schematic representation, but then the why of two angles ?
Still, I will try to produce coordinates in galactic system with merope as the origin tomorrow.

I must be missing something here. (also, they are "cutting" the lower left quadrant in three equal parts, this somehow bothers me a lot)

Seems legit. Force the UP makers to respond because whatever they were doing got blockaded. ...Not sure that's what the Feds were after, but here's to a not community goal.

Guys, risking been redundant here, but have you tried to honk the UP with your shields down? I'm asking this because one thing that I don't see fitting on all of this is the EMP, it looks like that the UP is trying to push away the ones that are on a defensive position...

A couple weeks ago I'd told you: IMPOSSIBLE, unfortunately instances do not communicate.
BUT
isn't it reported that Merope is now one unique instance for everyone? Is it still occurring?!
I'm saying this, not regarding your proposal, but about ANY TEST that could involve more than one CMDR doing THINGS in Merope, at the same time.
I mean, what if the message of the UP imply exactly this, and for the first time in ED?

Moreover: if the message is telling us 4 instructions to follow at the same time, well the maximum wing members are... FOUR.

COINCIDENCE?

I still can't believe nobody has taken the short trip to the Merope nav beacon and honked the flipping UP by it, if this is some kind of navigational aid it's a no brainer to try. Unless no UPs exist anymore, of course.
