I took Riz's new audio and played with it. I can confirm 100% that if you drop the key to A, and reverse it, it sort of sounds like Frontier (Elite 2 as it were, for those not sure) sound track. Or maybe Batman. Certainly nothing really useful. But I don't know what I'm doing, I'm literally playing with it. While Gypsys experiments are I think a bit too in depth and overly complicated there may be something to it.

*shrugs* Without out more Unknown Probes to play with.. *more shrugs*

Have Frontier changed the Unknown Artefacts noise at all?

Can we send a message to someone in the Feds and bribe them for info. I mean, there are commanders out there with billions, am sure a few of them could combine funds and manage a bribe..

On another note had a thought.
This message that the UP send i believe it is meant for us, because of this it shuts everything down not in a defensive way but so that we can hear the message properly with out ships systems interfering.
though this little bit of tinfoil hattery does not explain why the ship gets thumped

Agreed. The UP is not trying to hide the message. It actively gets our attention and then speaks in (to a degree) no uncertain terms.

Not surprising it got lost in the churn it was moving very fast, thanks for posting it on here or the old here it all helps.

Don't know if this has been noticed before, so I made a video of a dead barnacle singing its sad song. The sounds are different than those produced from the alive ones. Also the green stripes have a fluctuating glowing magnitude.

Hey I just thought, after the recent CG with the empire wanting to search for barnacles, will they share the technology with us that allows them to locate barnacles without physically flying around for hours on planets?
