Correct me if I'm wrong here, but there's not going to be cargo storage. They removed the cargo requirements for blueprints and the existing reasons for not allowing it still stand?

That said, could we please get clarification on:

  • Thermal weapon rebalance changes
  • Surface Scanner changes? Is it being pushed back to 2.2?

No they didn't - they clarified that we understood wrong and the commodities are here to stay.

Please continue bumping this everyone until we can get clarification. Leaving us in the dark on a change so potentially important is unacceptable.
They have stated previously that they shouldn't stack as they do, so that seems generally what they are referring to?
Lets face it, they are not balanced. prior to this patch.

ahahahahah it was 5 and now 3, that sneaky change  [squeeeee]

- When collecting physical micro resources or retrieving data loot, add 3 to the inventory instead of 1. If your inventory can't fit 3, just add enough to fill the inventory

Aww, shucks.
I docked at the Farseer with the sole intention of spamming a load of level 1 upgrades I had tonnes of mats for, incase they changed, with 10 minutes left before the update.
Docked, opened up the Engineers UI.
Disconnected. Lol

Oh well, looking forward to the update!

Unless I missed it, there was no mention of the multicannon ammo fix, or turret fix?
Any news in those?

I don't see anything about fixing the problem of the turreted weapons resetting to FIRE AT WILL all the time. Surely it can't be that difficult to fix, and it really needs to be fixed. :(

can we have XBX1 controlpad pre-set for the pc version (same buttons as the xbx version) please...

regards CMDR Bane
It's already there, class and something else near the bottom of the list when your controller is connected, after choosing the one that you have on xbox then you can customize the buttons to match what you had, it's really nice to be honest, not having to learn two different sets of controls, just unplug controller from 1 device and plug it into the other with the same controls :D

I don't really see the point in all of these repeated questions right now.. I agree that stuff needs a bit of clarification, but they're applying the update right now, not reading the forums. Patience is a virtue..apparently. :)

Look, patch notes have one very simple goal: to inform the user of changes to the product, in a clear and concise way. Its not supposed to be a riddle, they arent clues or hints as to what may have changed. All changes in the patch should be in the notes, and all notes should be correct, complete and understandable by the average user. Its not as if this the largest patch mankind has ever seen, either. So if you say 'changes to blueprints', you link that to the document so people dont have to search the forums. When you announce the biggest change, the increase in mats, you dont make a typo in the only character that really mattered. When you pre-announced a big change for the DSS, you either put it in the patch notes, and if it is not there, you inform the customer why it is not there. For crying out loud, sometimes I cant help but feel FD is intentionally cultivating a reputation for being terrible at communicating just literally any kind of information.

Really, I love ED and the guys at FD are great, but just a minor ammount of polish here and there would help their reputation so incredibly much...
