Yeah no kidding, enough chances that every one will have extremely good rolls by the end of the weekend. The reduced the requirements for blueprints AND increased mat collection. Like I edited earlier I have 20 rolls for grade 5 FSD from before this patch.

They'll be sure to consult you next time they apply an update. You might want to give them some dates in advance so they can plan accordingly.
If they need ME to tell them. That Afternoon short before Weekend is an Bad time to Apply an Update.
Because well guess what. Tons of People are Playing in the Afternoon because in the Morning and through Lunch People are usually at Work, in School or otherwise Occupied....

If nothing else I could give them a List of Dates which will be much much less annoying for the Majority of their Customers than Afternoon.
The majority of their customers are in the US. This was a good time to update for the US.
And this is probably my favourite fix, got sick to death of changing the setting every time i jumped into battle.

Apart form that, yes, maintenance and update schedules are always inconvenient for someone, and devs should (and i think do) just apply them when they see fit.
