Found something, it may be old though - but at least there are some dudes in the bubble that already know about the probe :)

Edit: Oh well - spending some time looking around its not unique... Found ad hoc 10 other systems... :(

Could the drawing also be the key to decrypting the 7 bit "tuba" sequences from the UA that we tirelessly analyzed but never solved on the earliest threadnoughts? You know, the sequences that never had more than 2 consecutive ones or zeroes?

Yeah, I think it's on all stations in game (or at least I'm yet to find one that doesn't have it in the prohibited list). It's actually what alerted the community to the existence of the UP in the first place.

Just throwing ideas out of my head, but has anyone tried bringing UP to a barnacle site? What about both the UA and the UP. Maybe if we toss them all by the barnacle, honk it, they will finally realize humanity's here.

Speculation: since the bottom-right line is 135 degrees from the vertical and points to the edge of the circle, possibly indicating the UA shell 135LY from Merope, the two bottom-left lines being 210 and 240 degrees and pointing outside the circle might indicate something of interest at or in between 210LY and 240LY from Merope.

I'm heading for Ross 47 now to see if I can wing up with anyone looking for a UP convoy but will then take my Asp out to the 210-240LY region from Merope to see if I stumble upon anything interesting out there.

I have also tested both cases several times and can confirm the UP goes off when you release it after using the ADS in the presence of an Artefact. It does not go off if you scoop it and release it again, only if you honk first then release, again in the presence of an artefact.

Have you tried to honk the UA, then release the UP, then immediately honk again so that the UP gets your honk plus the signal from the UA?
