Then I'll try to transcribe the purrs by ear and earphones on my phone: no software is needed for that! And no spectrogram at all!
Just listen.

I did attempt it but to my ear it didn't mean anything when translated to things like Morse. Maybe you will have better luck then me![]()
No morse, no binary no anything.
Three purrs = one of those four glyphs = one of the four quadrants = a sequence of quadrants

Bad science Rizal!! Tut tut.
Please ask people to listen to the audio without presupposing what is supposed to represent.
If you can then match it with the symboles then great, otherwise the results are biased towards generating that expected outcome.
Personally, I've never been able to hear anything meaningful in UA audio, so I'll leave it to those who can to reliably transcribe what they can hear in the UP audio.
Here's a question for you to ponder. Looking at the 'glyph', the oddest thing to me is the two 'spikes' sticking out of the bottom left (assuming it IS the bottom left of course).
I mean to say: on a 'first-glance' basis, the glyph looks like a radar image. the little icons in the four corners look like, well, four icons. The diagonal line from centre looks like the 'active scan' position of my rotating radar antenna, the 'horizon bar' in the top left I'm less sure of.
But the two 'spikes' are entirely incongruous.
Let's focus on them?
Discuss....
There were no barnacles in planets with more than 1g either, and the earth was planar, and the sun rotated around it..
Come back, long time exploring is not for you!![]()

That's kinda where I am with it. I hear 3 kinds of purrs;
A long, low purr
A quick, high-pitched purr
An energetic, low-but-loud purr that accompanies the 'singing' segments.
Taking only the first two types alone, it *sometimes* matches up with those quadrant symbols but sometimes doesn't. It also doesn't repeat the sequence, to my ear, right after the 12th purr, so there are MORE purrs than symbols in the quadrants.
As best I can tell there are 5 purrs between each 'singing' segment. I don't remember if they repeat eventually but I know they don't for a long time.
---
ADDITIONAL: Was there anything in the Purrs of the UA? I'm not saying if there wasn't then we shouldn't search the UP for messages in the Purrs. I just can't remember the UA results on this matter. Wasn't it the chittering that mattered with the UAs and not the Purrs?
this sounds sarcastically offensive to me.. lol
well, i am coming home but not so fast as you think...
first i need to visit the ngc 7822 nebula as promised, it's so incredibly suspicious to me
i must go there !
Okay. So there's one explanation.I always thought they represented a range. The radius of the sphere is 0.8s (Diameter is 1.6KHz) the spikes correspond to y axis or x axis. 0.33 s and 0.66 s from perimeter each.
If the diameter represents frequency - the spikes might be a frequency range, 0.33 khz to 0.66 Khz
Nothing on the UA, but knowing how much efforts we put in the UA purrs, and what MB said about adapting their puzzles depending on how we analyzed the previous...
Perhaps they now have a real purpose.
Just was looking at obsidian orbital on the gal map about to plot a route. Firstly Maia in the system description states - "Many strange artefacts have been found in this region of space". Have any artefacts been found in Maia actually?
Secondly, obsidian orbital states its economy as "high tech and unknown economy". Is this a normal economy type as I have never noticed it anywhere else?
Sorry if these have been mentioned before but I only just noticed and thought I would ask here about it.
Okay. So there's one explanation.
Now think about this: Try 'glimpsing' the glyph. The hugest massivest stand-out is those two spikes. Gimme more!
