Just seen on reddit, someone noted that there is a similar drawing of a circle with a line halfway across it in the new independence day film, any relation?

By all means do tests to find out if such data exists but we CAN safely theorise all we like based on current evidence.

The point was that just because it responds to all the discovery scanners yer fella over there wasn't right to then assume it wasn't the discovery scanner it was responding to. Nothing whatsoever to do with entirely other types of scanners

Where do people get these things from that aren't even said? This makes solving this vastly vastly vastly harder as half of you are heading off in crazy directions with no reason. Science is calm, logical...

I understand that miscommunication happens, but if people ARE getting this stuff from somewhere it can only be because the information presented to them is not being clear enough.

Don't get me wrong, I'm just as guilty of mudding writing as anyone, but I took what I did from what you said because that's how it read it me, no other reason.

IIRC There was an image of a crashed Condor on Merope in the latest newsletter with something along the lines of "What could have happened to the pilot of the fighter?". Weird wording.

Ok so I cleared my mind if everything I thought before and asked myself this question. Not thinking of any other part of the image, just breaking it down to that one part. May not be the best approach but hey its something I can do.

First thing I think of with 2 "spikes" is a barnacle. Yes they have more than two all up but they only ever have two ripe ones. So what if the spikes in the image represent a barnacle?

ive found a few condors with a hell of alot of dropped cargo an such in the area but no big wreckage theres defo some kind of big crash site we`ve not found yet

Yep, and on every incident in the News survivors also say someting about "the sound" they heared when things went south. We should also keep that in mind.

This brings me to the conclusion that you NEED an artifact with you to trigger an event like that.

I don't think there's a connection between Jaques' Station and the UPs.
Reason: Jaques Station was loaded with UAs which were the main reason for the station's miss-jump.
The UP has nothing to do with this - leave your speculations (and YES we DO need to start trashing some theories because we have WAY too many and this one is not plausible as portrayed here).

This. Jaque is talking about the UAs. So UAs seem to be a beacon so they can find you. Fits with my hypothesis that UAs are distress beacons, sent by an alien ship crashlanded in the Pleiades.

The probes seem to search for the ship.

I like to imagine it like UAs are the nerves, but UPs are the sense.

Imagine you're walking along and a bug lands on your skin. Your nerves (UAs) go ''there's something here!'' and then your eyes (UPs) turn and focus on it. They directly feed information to your brain (Aliens) and it decides whether the hand comes in to smash or brush it away.
