Stand by mission board

Why is this taking long? and it offen timeout aswell :/

I got a fiber connection so there isnt anything wrong with my internet.
Another thing while im at it, do you guys also get disconnected offen while playing in wing?

I'd guess it's not so much to do with people's connection, although faster one is probably beneficial, but that the game sends a query based on the status of the system, station and the player. Missions are then generated and sent back to the player. It can be painfully slow sometimes and I'm on a 50mb cable connection.

Hopefully it will be improved in the next update?

It's not just the Mission board, but all the things that relies on pulling down info from the ED Servers, Jumping, Transition into normal space, Docking requests, etc etc.

And i know some people will come back and say "It's fine for me" or words similar, but i do think some servers are running slower and if you logout and back in again so you get a different number server things improve.

Not an expert, but these 'Slow Downs' happen occasionally and i am sure FDev team will get round to looking at it!

Everything, just everything took forever this morning. I thought it was just me. What should have taken me an hour to do took twice that!

They definetely need to work on their server structure. The general concept is great, but it clearly has some issues. I had a few lucky hours when client server communication was instantly, dropping in instances in a few ms. It really is a game changer when you can drop seamlessly from glide or SC to normal flight and it shows that the engine is capable.

seems the beta period on xbox one.
we have played all the beta with this connection issue and refreshing situation.

i had a 20mb at that time, now i've a fiber, but it's the same.

Ed must do something.

It feels like the servers get slower after every update. Frontier keep adding data that players need to get from server when jumping, opening mission board, landing, entering outfitting etc. But same time they don't add more power to their servers. If you look at old videos from youtube the system map for example used to open in about 1 sec, so fast that you could not pay attention to its opening animation.

If you are running another program that is also accessing your game files it may cause this. I have found that running EDDDiscovery causes lag spikes, access times and timeouts with ED for me. Since I stopped running it those problems went away. Just saying....

My mission board was running painfully slow this morning. It seems very random. Sometimes is slowish, and others, really really slow.

Nothing out of the ordinary running in the background.
My old laptop has an SSD, which my main PC doesn't, and loading missions on that is equally slow on a 4G connection.

Yesterday and today it's get much worse. I've seen "Can't connect to server" message at MissionBoard for the first time since...oh, i don't really remember.

-Sir...sshh..sshhhh....Sir, do you copy?!sss
-Yep, wazzup?
-Sir...sshhh...laxy map doesn't respond...sh....stem map doesn't....shh.spond...shhh..board not responding too!
-Oh...My...God... ALERT! THE WITCHSPACE IS BREACHED! REPEAT:THE WITCHSPACE IS BREACHED!... God save us all!

I concur. I am sick and tired of looking at the spinning stand by hexagon of death followed by unable to connect to mission server. I was sad enough to time is last night. 13 minutes staring at the hexagon in two hours of gameplay. Unacceptable.
While we are at it, for the love of all that is holy please fix the 0H 0M mission updates. Thoroughly annoying.

Better:
0h 2m left for bonus, you're already at the pad and wanna deliver your mission
Hexagon

Bonus mission failed

Also the USS' are affected too. I dropped yesterday at an USS and nothing was there. I lokked around and already thought i pressed the dropout button too early, and wanted to continue my trip. Loaded the fsd and suddenly short before jumping there appeared the wreckages and canisters.

Anything is timing out in the last days. Not just mission boards, jumps, even docking requests. There is some serious bottleneck somewhere which is now completely clogged.

deffo a problem I reckon......I kept getting this issue last night out at Mathews mines in shu bassasi....kept having to mode jump to try and get something to show up.
even my missions for hand in were not all showing at once and I had to keep refreshing the board to make them appear.

been pretty bad for last few days imo.

It's been worse this last week or so. I'm wondering whether a surge in player numbers due to the sale has temporarily pushed some of the server VMs to capacity.

I think almost worldwide School holidays....... You can always tell this as the SDC crew tend to show up during School Holidays. I will leave you to assume what you want ;)

Game is generally getting less and less responsive. Unless you get lucky with servers, everything takes too long: mission board, outfitting, dropping from supercruise, loading USS content... and let's not even mention route plotter which is sometimes plain useless.

They should really try to run few optimization passes, if possible. Or talk to Amazon. I am not sure what's going on.

The routeplotter works fine. This is another issue.
If you get over 40 ly range you will get problems in the bubble plotting a route.
Up to 2.0 all ships beyond 30ly range had this problems in the core, now the 40 and 50ly+ ships get the same problems in the bubble.
But this has nothing to do with serverconnection
