Is it possible the UA is pointing PAST merope? Has anyone jettisoned one on the other side of the system?
No, no one has ever thought of that in 70,000+ posts you are the first. Previously we've always been dropping it from the same side of Merope how could we have been so blind.
If this is correct then can we move it somewhere else and see if the data changes. Or is it a probe sent to one system that only has the capability to record and send one set of data back to wherever it came from?Makes sense alongside the UA- it's just a raw data gathering probe, looking at stuff and sending back the info. And, it has almost no use to us, except that we can maybe hijack it to find barnacles -slightly- more easily.
After some googling it turns out there is a very common binary code schema that does not have more than 2 consecutive 1's or 0's
(as we see in the UP tuba data stream). It's call Manchester Code. And was used by Voyager 1.

Why though are they trying to interrogate it. Seriously though seems like a waste to me.
THEY KILLED KENNY!!! (the probe)
Was interesting to see the other ships in the wing close to the probe went all blurry and distorted when it was honked at.
