because there is a specific thread for this other mistery and it makes sense to do it there?
you are double posting? we are all in both threads reading the same things two times?
I believe a few of us (me at least) are going to be hanging around Merope 5c in the crater-in-the-Crater on Saturday waiting for the "solstice" event, if it exists. If any UP holders are interested, please do stop by. In the mean-time, I leave you with a revised version of my latest work:

Well whats the point of posting it then xD Typically you put it here to warn of potential ganking which any of us could do to each other and alot may also be pvpers. But to then say there is one in that area and not tell his name there is no point as now any of us could pinpoint any one of us as that potential ganker making things out there a real mess and more of a hide and seek rather than a search party
well, it is always better to know. when someone advises about a possible griefer I use to say thanks, works much better than complaining.

It refused to jump or keep a jump I plotted on the galaxy map. I had to go one system at a time coordinating between using nav menu and then opening the galaxy map to confirm I was going in a straight line. I decided to keep going as I had intended to be out there a few weeks. It quit on its own so maybe a bug.

It's a decoder ring.
It's a space time distortion thing (seriously this game can't even handle 12 cmdrs in the same instance, there is no chance there is any sort of "space time" mechanic in the game)
Have we taken a UP to sol/blackhole/ur mum
Have we EMP'd the UP
Have we used other scanners?
Should I go on? My point is the signal to noise ratio is horrible. You'll notice the usual posters have been quiet lately because this thread is a gong show right now. What's wrong with a little change of pace? I personally have no care for rift/Raxxla but I'd rather read those posts than another one of the aforementioned daily reposts this thread produces.
Plus, this is also a Canonn Thread for the Canonn player group. No one owns the Rift mystery, if Canonn members want to rift then by all means, rift. Makes for a better read than 50% of what's been posted I'm the past 2 weeks.

- people interested in the rift mystery will miss rift's post here.
- people in the rift and this thread, reads the same people posting in both, sometimes the same thing, sometimes you have to stitch posts from both threads to know what is going on.
- but what is worse, people (new people) coming here will get confused and soon we will see posts about looking forfree floating UPs in EAFOTS systems, and looking for convoys in Tionisla, asking whether we honked the UP in the graveyard or why UA are not pointing to raxxla.
- keeping rift's post where they belong will have no impact in our noise ratio.

Maybe the UA does point to raxxla maybe merope 5c is raxxla burried deep withing the layer of sand and dirt from years passed who knows......... xD
haha.. definitely, thargoid have abandoned us bored of waiting to be discovered long time ago!
If anyone's interested, I recorded the BBC Click segment on the Unknown Probes. As a plucky Brit, I stayed up just to see if it was on and decided to record it. Will upload to YouTube unlisted and post a link to here and the subreddit once it's finished rendering in a few minutes. It's a short 2 minute segment and there's not really any new info but it does show off a whole bunch of our theories!

As I said, I only posted it because of what he said. He purposefully maneuvered his craft so the probe was in front of the Earth, and knowing human behaviour and speech as I do, there was something to it. Honestly, there are far more dedicated people in this thread who could come up with a test for it, as I simply don't have the time to dedicate to it when my play time is limited. The solid fact is that the sparkling happened on my radar, and it is fact that my SRV took damage. Another fact is, he highlighted the sparkling and even give an idea of why. What does this mean? I don't have a clue. But it happened and I wish I had a video to prove it (a screenshot would not be sufficient), but I don't have any capture software installed of any kind and I am not going to be able to go back to Merope to test it. What I can say, is that it happened in the large crater on Merope 5c and I had been driving around for about 45 minutes when it occurred. Frantic debate and speculation is what keeps a lot of people interested, please don't tell people not to do it. (Also, why do you think Frontier do these videos? ;-) )
Anyways, good luck with the discoveries Commanders! I wish I had the time to get involved properly.
