By all means try but from what i remember they cant actually be ligned up as one cloud is always out of the nebula. But yeah by all means who knows

I've been mentally labelling them as pillars myself, and very much view them as the 'gateway to the mystery zone'. I spent a while on the proverbial threshold, checking the view to see if anything particularly stood out.

I think this is why the old woman wanted to highlight this area.

Passing between Heart and Soul takes you straight through the core (as Drew hinted once) of the Formidine Rift, if I have read the map right.

Is it a signpost, a means to keep us on the right path?

The nebulae deviate only slightly off the path of the Reorte/Reidquat line. I am going to shoot right through and see what lies on that particular route, as I think that is the path the Cobra took.

I too think you're on to something. I've been mentioning earlier today on the Formidine Rift Discord that I reckon what we're looking for is something visual and epic.

Now - perhaps if you don't find anything at the systems where you have them lined up - but if you travel down that line of systems, towards the Rift...
