Is thw "Galnet News: Weekly Economic report" relevant?
I read the list of booms and all the booms that I see in my area are not on the list.

It's relevant. But it's also weekly
That means galaxy map will always be more up to date. (though it has its quirks, as well)
They also only choose 10(?) random systems for those reports. The list would probably be massive if they listed every one.
