as promised here i am.

the response (to the stupid idea) is negative i am sorry.

now probably you want to know what it was the idea.

well..... the idea was that one:

IF in some stations there is the tag *prohibited* on the good ''unknown probe'' it means that someone deals with it.
maybe someone has it and want to sell it (i thought).

maybe a blackmarket will have an UP available...

curiosly only one station has the blackmarket option available in the systems where the UP was found
LINNEAUS STATION in the system G99-49

and i am landed there now, but the black market permits you only to sell, not to buy... (at least, it seems so).

i am here at 500 ly around merope... searching for the usual ghosts...

but suddenly an idea... a shameful idea... such a stupid idea that i don't even want to say it...

if this idea will be confirmed it will be the biggest facepalm moment in the history of the games of all time.

within 30 minutes the answer.. i will tell you any details soon. pls be patient and have mercy of me.

If you find an UP in CQC, I will agree. :)

So while discussing in discord about the circle in the middle and it representing a sphere.. I kept pointing out that its not. So I printed a crude copy and extended the grid.

Not a sphere. Technically as a 3d object it has 6 points and would be an octahedron. Otherwise it also resembles a plane with fisheye effect applied to it.

What if the sonic image is a key to understand what the UP is doing or is and not a location.

At some point we ask it with the ADS ? Btw do you know how ADS work ?

So all of that 30 minutes and you'll have the ridiculously simple solution was just noise...wtg. If the idea was THAT simple surely the best solution would be to check it out and then report back, making noise on here for the sake of it is very counter productive.

...but thanks for contributing! :)

Or you could, like, cut the guy some slack and applaud the fact he wasn't afraid to admit to being wrong rather than just setting his hair on fire and setting the rage dogs on him.

Let me also correct myself here a bit since Im an idiot..

Curve an octahedreon enough and it becomes a sphere. This can also represent 6 points on a sphere..

Most astronomical bodies aren't spherical. Usually they're oblong and quite grid Like. If anything, they're usually very Icosohedron, and very segmented in shape.

Thought I should say this....Somewhere on one of the thread there was a post from a dev(Not sure it was MB or someone else) saying that the permit zone nebulas didnt have a way to access yet,While that may have changed and the UP is a super permit so far there just locked till FD gives a us a way in or unlocks them and this have been proven in a couple tests done(via RIzel and others) that the UP hasnt changed the permit locks D:
Doesnt mean you shouldnt test if you can, but so far its very unlikely that UP's would spawn in them or unlock them yet/

2,you guys have not put it on the planet yet hence they " just point at the planet"
I've seen a youtube video of it on the surface, that's how we know it doesn't expire on the surface. There's a useful tool called Google. It can help you find out things. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=unknown+probe+on+surface&ie=&oe=
.
(care to pick a number MB =P )
This isn't "20 questions". I hope MB doesn't answer your question. I think he's doing a great job of picking when and what to say.

So, I just watched this for the first time, because I asked this question a few hundred pages ago, (it feels like). It isn't pointing to the center of the planet as people said. Has anyone ever tried to follow where it points? Pick it back up, drive that direction, drop it again, etc?
