Between that and the other recent report, hopefully that's proof enough that spawn locations for convoys are just random.
Looking more likely to be the case.
Is that Fed space?

Correct!Kagutsuchi is definitely not Fed space.
Kagutsuchi is definitely not Fed space.
That's actually quite close. Good enough to put 'drop and honk' next to a nav beacon on the to do list.
Ah yes, my old stomping ground.

Cool ilo! Already added to the spreadsheet.well.. look at this..
I'm confirming the convoy spawned in Kagutsuchi (close to peregrina):
WEll I would do, but don't pirates scoop these things up?
Thing that makes me saddest about all this convoy stuff, I've never had a convoy spawn... not that I'm really looking.
Meanwhile, during the Beta, the very first convoy USS I went to was one of the Military Transport convoys. I think I mentioned something in one of the beta forums, since I'd never seen a "Military Transport"... but there was no chatter and no UP or cargo on board.

THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING! or it's just random like it always has been
I seem to remember that with the UA convoys .... They seemed random but there might have been a relation to a particular System State? Which made it more likely to see them?
I just checked the spreadsheet. Not that the sample is big enough, but I'd go for low/med security systems. I can change the state of Kagutsuchi and see if it keeps spawning, but I'm afraid it would not be deterministic unless it spawn again with a different state. Also, I can't do this alone.
Ya it just seems like there are places where you get more convoy activity of all types .. And I think its tied to background sim / security but don't know if that really helps
Merope 5C is definately bugged. I am using a simple assumtion from the UP diagram that comes up with the co-ordinates 90.125 x 65.030. However, having reached VERY close to those co-ordinates a little off the surface the x and y co-ordinates suddenly changed. I reversed to try and get back on track and the game completely crashed. This makes finding stuff on this planet a rather difficult task. Relogging in on solo to see what happens. On a side note I am carrying the UA.
