No really, all music off, earphones on, throttle 25%-20%, as soon as I hear a blip throttle down and check. I've been doing this for a lot time now.

I have already started, from Merope to the Gamma post.

It's always been my personal idea that it was heavily related to 'First contact' but there has never been any evidence, other than its appearance, to back that up so I've never discussed it.

Wasn't it travelling in excess of 2km/s in ordinary flight modes?

A couple reasons. The most obvious is that the two events are not actually linked.

Another could be... why not a DBX? It could have picked any 'they' have scanned, if we assume that to be true. It's unlikely they would have picked something big and heavy like a Type-09 or Anaconda. Too obvious when it doesn't behave right.

A DBX is small, fast, light, and relatively unassuming. It could have been any of the small ships, I don't think there is significance in the DBX.

i am back to ross 47, trying to find out what i miss and what i don't understand of this mistery related to the UP spawn point.

I found a couple of decoded uss
this is one of those:

should i consider it a Tip off ?
may be i should examine carefully this system, it could contain some clues.

That is normal, they are everywhere. Ross 47 is probably not more related to the UP than Sol, Sterlino.

All right but it would be smarter to deceive us with different ships. But on the other hand, this "tactic" doesn't look like long lasting, it's only temporary, so maybe you are right that DBX is enough for them.

I also personally think the account of Jacques when his station's jump drive was hijacked by UAs possibly contains unique clues. Lots of mentions of black holes, nebula etc.

I'm about a quarter of the way out to him now but I don't have a UP. I'll be stationed out there for a while.

I'm not thinking about number of jumps at all. Just Frameshifting from star to star while listening to some comedy standup from the early 2000s. Historical stuff :p :D

Always seemed TOO strange to be just a teaser for Engineers. Especially given that Engineers could get a DBX up to nowhere near those speeds. I think the fastest I have seen an engineer-upgraded ship go is an Imperial Eagle upwards of 850m/s, nowhere near over 2km/s

I genuinely believe there is going to be a teaser shot or two in a trailer that EITHER... shows us what the next part is, but in a vague way that doesn't show us HOW to find it.

OR... we will get a major hint as to what the so-called 'Lock' to this 'Key' is.

Yeah that's been there for me too. Also the the sizes don't match, like the bottom ones are something like 50% bigger, which seems odd if it's intended to be 1, 2, 3, 4. Which makes me think the lower numbers/icons indicate something different that the upper ones.

I don't know, not trying to say it isn't a sequence, it's just it seems odd if it is.

I mean if I were producing something that was intended to be done in sequence, I would have ordered the figures to show that, so clockwise round the sphere maybe starting top right. It just seems odd if the numbers do represent an order that you also wouldn't put the sphere quadrants in order.

One thing that keeps on nagging is the colour sheme of the alien entities known as UA, Baracle and UP. The UA has a blueish tint, the Barnacle is greenish and the UP is reddish. This makes the RGB color model.
Disclaimer: I don't have any experience with multimedia at all, but is it possible that if you overlay the sparkles, that you can get a further clue?

One possible clue is the color highlighting of the "a key" statement.
