Undiscovered in the Bubble

372ly from Sol...

Just found a completely undiscovered system! One star, two rocky ice worlds and one high metal planet.

Just goes to show that they're still out there waiting to be discovered, even in the main bubble!

Congrats, Commander! I remember a quote from somebody at FDev saying that there were still some undiscovered bodies left in the bubble...you found probably one of the last undiscovered systems! Did you just stumble upon it?

Yeah, just bouncing around in random directions picking up some extra exploration data for Lv5 Engineer and *pop* there is was.

I'm not sure you should be allowed to make a post like this and not put pictures :)

I'm heading away from civilized space, will post on return. Should be too long as it is only a short trip.

But to post now would mean someone might jump over to this section to try and find it and get back before me.

I think I must've fallen down a rabbit hole or something. Found another unexplored system!

Three stars and 27 planets, all look to be either rocky or icy... but undiscovered nonetheless

Is your ship engineered? Seems the varied jump ranges might be landing us along different paths, previously unexplored (is my guess).

I reckon there are still one or two closer to Sol, probably brown dwarf systems that get scan-skipped.

There are still plenty within 1000LY of Sol, I am still finding AW's and WW's 800Ly out that are undiscovered pretty much every time I head out for a long trip.

That's what I've been thinking, currently in a... ExploraVulture *rofl* with a few Engineer upgrade.

Just getting some exploration data to unlock Lv5 with Ms Grumpy (Elvira Martuuk) which with the over modifications should give my Vulture a jump range of 28ly without the FSD Injection :)

28 LY Vulture eh? That's hilarious and impressive. How many jumps before its out of fuel (say 3 unscoopables in a row)?

I've bookmarked this thread so I can post when my ExploraVulture is complete and I can post all the engineered bits and jump details :D

UPDATE...

Mostly finished the engineering of my Vulture to make it in to an exploration vehicle.

There are a few other things I could try for (e.g., making weapons even lighter) but I decided to head out in to the void with what I'd done so far. So here it is...

The 28.05ly (non-FSD Boost assisted) ExploraVulture

I'm currently 1,237.32ly away from Sol on my way to Colonia. I can get two, sometimes three jumps on a full tank.

So, a modified exploravulture, with two class 3 pulse lasers, named after a two handed broadsword? I hope that you're only going to pick on Thargoids!

I have other modified weapons, prismatic shields, military hull and a few other bits in storage at Shinrarta ready for shipping out to Colonia once I get there. They were too heavy to take on the journey :)
