Oculus Rift Head Stand

Bought the head in a second hand shop; initially they didn't want to sell it, it was part of the show room (hats!), but an assistant reminded the manager that he'd said that 'it's all for sale' :). A piece of granite to add weight and stabilization, a piece of rugged cloth, some glue and voila: An Oculus Rift Head Stand. I call it IStand...

Just make sure the hook on the wall has the HUD facing down to stop dust and stray light from effecting it. Not hanging by straps..........mine is simply locked away in a lint free bag (breathable) and cable well coiled.

Good Idea, but you need to disconnect the Rift each time as the captor will keep it turned ON as he will detect a face (whatever paint it wear) ;)

I have the OVRService set to manual startup, this should keep the Rift turned off as I understand it. I manually start the service when using the Rift. Still have issues with the GalMap, Keyboard, facial heat and motion sickness, so not using it very much at the moment. Adjusting to it, I guess.

Beware that the elastic and foam face mask will bed to the mannequins head and may distort it permanently.

Hmm, anyway to counter that and still use the head? (Save making a mold of my own head...)

Thanks, will do. Why are you coiling the cable when not in use?
