earlier i posted an ammonia world with active carbon life. im just curious as its within the pleiades sector if you took a UP there and honked it would it scan the planet?

So, my UP-mystery hiatus lasted all of what, two days? Thanks ilo!!
Good job finally locating those buggers. I now realise why we haven't found them before. I spent 56 minutes circling a known UP FF location before it spawned. The RNG is a bit harsh on the important USSs me thinks.
Anyhow, I have been following the thread and the UP Locator spreadsheet has been updated with a separate worksheet for the UP . Afaik there are only three known locations so far.
I've tried to add the relevant data, but will work on adding the information that has been decoded as well. If you want something else added to the sheet, let me know.
And please report any new locations, and I'll add those. I am currently looking at the GG with Ammonia Based Life. No luck after almost 2 hours, so I might skip it for now.
Suddenly it's fun again. Go figure

Glad you posted that - I was about to post that I'd been out to H&S last week and one thing that struck me was how similar the Soul nebula looks to the California nebula.
the most strong radiation sources are Neutron-Stars (Pulsar) and the discs(jets of Black Holes (in reality)
Furthermore, the point of view seems to be within an area with green/blue nebulosity. The Heart Nebula does have that. Long shot, as I think the two mysteries are unrelated, but just putting it our there.

Shinzo, I assume you think the encoded binary message and the images from the video belong to the same storyline.. is this the case?
If it is, then yours has a green-turquoise color that is not exiting in Merope's neighbourhood either, so sorry.

I think that if you're really that interested in the binary in the video then maybe you'll want to chat about it in the rift thread. It seems to me to fit that story rather well, the story has just been kicked back into life again and is getting promoted all over the shop, plus the main rift expedition is setting off shortly too. Also as pointed out the image could well be the soul nebula, though not having watched the video I'm not sure how/if it relates to the binary.

Hey, I think this may be a dumb idea, but I want to see what would happen. Has anyone tried putting the UP and UA together in space, and then DESTROY the UA and see if the fragments do anything to the probe? Good idea, bad idea, your thoughts?
Did I catch a glimpse of something very much like the famous audio scan in the final micro seconds of the full interview 4 video leak?

Our more than 10 years of experience on UP harvesting and bombing confirms that yes, maybe you can shutdown Sothis with UPs, or maybe not.
