Premium Beta Questions

Greetings Commanders,

Firstly I've been looking forward to this game for sometime. I first played Elite on the BBC model B micro when it first came out all those years ago. I spend many (probably too many) hours building up my skill and credits to eventually get "Elite" status and I even had a pin badge to prove it. Now watching the videos of the Alpha testing I'm thinking of buying into the Premium Beta and have some questions.

1) If I buy the premium beta and for what ever reason (Does not work on my PC, can't get on with the game (unlikely)) is there any refund option?

2) At what point can you chose a commander name? I assume these will be unique across the whole game. Will it be only when the game is released?

From what i know is that you can only get a refund if you have not downloaded the game, so lets say you ordered it and payed for it you can still get a refund but once its downloaded you can not. But excptions are probably made.

The commander names i dont know sorry. If you post your specs someone can probably give you a good estimation if you can run it :).

Thanks for the replies. Kinda thought that about the refund so understand.

As for the PC, my details are below (self built ;) ):

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz (probably should have gone for an i7 but the i5 seemed good for general gaming)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LK
Graphics: Asus GTX 660 Ti DirectCU II 2GB
Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H55 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x 8GB) 1600MHz DDR3
SSD: OCZ 256GB Vector Series 2.5 SATA-III SSD (for OS, MS Office and Games)
HDD: WD 2TB 3.5" SATA-III (for storage and documents)
Case: Coolermaster CM690 II Lite Case
Power: OCZ ZS Series 650W 80+ Bronze PSU
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium w/SP1
Monitor: Samsung S24b300hl LED LCD Widescreen 23.6" HDMI Monitor
KB: Logitech MK120 Wired Slim Keyboard and Optical Mouse
Sound: Logitech S220 2.1 Speakers
Joystick: Saitek Cyborg Evo. Had this quite few years and it still works great.

I assume this should all be OK but be good to get it confirmed before I commit.

I'd be surprised if that rig didn't run the game pretty good - but I'll await an expert's opinion.
