It's fine. Not everything has to be a horrible wait.

And it's basically the only way we will get people with various professions out to the new bubble. Nobody except various griefers are gonna drag a 15ly FDL out there.

I understand that they want the game to be more accessible to the casual player - but this "always have the right ship at hand for whatever purpose you need" is a step too far. So yay, and nooooo!

It ruins my i********.

It trivialises the size of the galaxy - something that Frontier have, thus far, tried to avoid (no jump-gates, disparate ship jump ranges, etc.).

Waiting for the first video of a player at Jaques summoning their warbird from Founders and immediately swapping to it....

Depending on the cost...and considering what we saw on the screenshot. He would essentially pay 100+ millions and more for that stunt alone...and again to get it away from their.

Everyone will be able to use the most efficient ship to travel there and summon their other vessels instantly....

Good point - but for some players, 100+M Cr. is pocket change.

Given that (as seen in stream) transporting a Beluga 40ly costs nearly 600K credits, I don't think that many people are going to cast "summon ship Corvette" on Jacques... It will cost a bloody fortune, probably upwards of 300 million credits. Plus another 300 million to cast "summon ship" again to bring it back to the bubble.

Which would completely trivialise any rare trading or long distance smuggling - and piracy for that matter....

Well it looks like Sothis, Robigo et. al. got a lot more profitable. Fly to 'smuggling' destination in Asp. Summon Cutter with SpaceMagic™. Stack Missions. Fly back in Asp. Summon Cutter with SpaceMagic™. Profit. Unless the ship summoning cost is in the 10's of millions...

Have hardly played recently... but     is this? Officially endorsed cheating? Is this where we are at now?
Then please, Frontier, be so kind while you are at it... and dump a couple billions in my account, too. I mean why care anymore about anything, right?

Pretty much feels like his.

Seriously. Want to engineer your ship that has a 5ly jumprange? NP, visit one engineer after the other in your 60ly Anaconda and summon the ship you want engineered at every stop. Want your whole fleet at Jaques? NP, fly there in your Anaconda and summon the Clipper, Corvette, Vulture, FDL in a manner of seconds...

It's a joke.

It would cost less than the profit from a full stack of Robigo missions - otherwise it would be too expensive for any other use case.

Man folk are never happy are they.

The reason for ship transfer is to enable players to participate in whatever activity they want to do without having a whole bunch of messing about.

So yeah let's make people wait. :(

Well, no. We won't be happy if FD introduce a feature we dislike, no. This wasn't something that most of us ever asked for.

I like the idea of making choices in the game, and those choices having consequences. You reap the rewards and pay the prices. Based on Sandro's comments previously, that seemed to be FD's position too. This just opens another avenue for a limited number of ships to over-used in game. Fly everywhere in the ship with the best jump range (Asp?), then summon your fighter to you instantly when you want some combat. Or if in Open, fly everywhere in your combat ship, and summon your trader/hauler/miner when you want to try those. Without any real downside to the ship transfers, the benefits of several ships are rubbed out of the game.

Not to mention it shoots realism in the face. IN THE FACE.

Both yes. I dont want to wait. What am I supposed to do in the meantime? Count the sheep at the station? Why would you ever want to wait?

That will probably be impossible, as you can't store ships in Shipyards with cargo on them. But you could speed up one leg, using a cheap hauler to go to Sothis, cast summon Cutter, bring the Cutter back and buying another cheap hauler.

I want to wait because I want frontier to respect the rules they created in their own universe.

No thanks to magic spells.

You don't need to buy another hauler. You would just cast summon hauler at the other end of the journey. It's weak sauce broken game design.

Better remove dogfighting then. And most weapon effects. And flying with your canopy broken. And all the sound effects. And visible lasers....
