I've got to say I'm totally enjoying this no end!
After a shaky start (as I think my computer is a bit temperamental for some reason, and also there have been a few glitches which could be the Beta), I've not played a game that gives a real buzz when you get things right - and boy for me that's taken some time! I had initial problems getting my head around the Supercruise concept, and how and when it can be employed, but when you think about what's happening of course it all make sense - it's not just the program being a *******!
Funnily enough the docking aspect has gone pretty well for me so far, apart from the first time when I got fried by the security lasers for loitering and then attempting to land on the wrong pad! I'm using mouse/keyboard until my X52 Pro arrives and hadn't checked out what keys worked the thrusters. Since then, slowly slowly seems to work fine with nice positive landings each time
I think the worst aspect in play is situational awareness. That's not a fault of the game btw - that's reality kicking in and where experience pays off.
I've got a very slim profit at the moment from trading, mainly because I've had my tail roasted by pirates once or twice, allthough I lived to tell the tale. I just ran like **** and managed to get to the station for repairs. It was the biggest buzz and adrenalin rush I've had for a long time!
If this is Beta, I can barely control my patience for the next stage!
