Where is the entrance to the Stations?

Hello, I cannot at all find the entrance to any station to dock! Not once have I been able to find it. How do I do this? Its getting very frustrating hanging around the space station looking for an entrance once I've been given clearance!

Quick tips
Stations rotate. Note the axis it is rotating around. The entrance is in one of the ends.
Rotate ship so station is "up". Go full speed making sure you go "under" the station (not aim directly at it). Find your free look hotkey and look up. Once the station is directly above you, use the pitch up key to orbit the station, you will soon see the entrance.
So when entrance directly above you, centre free look, engines to 0, request docking, aim ship at entrance and go.

Especially when coming at an odd angle, it can be hard to spot the advertisement projectors, so this tip really helped.

You can also

1) see the station entrance on the orange hologram on your HUD
2) look for the concentration of ships on your radar....usually a good indicator of where the entrance is

In alpha 3 there was a marker buoy outside the entrance. I think they need to put them back in

In the old game the station entrance was always on the planet side which was very easy. ED gives you a clue as you can see the bill boards from a way out.

Yes, they now face away from the planet, so it is still very easy.

And that makes much more sense, judging by the gravity wells and all. Though for scenic reasons, perpendicular the the planet orbit, away from the direction the station is moving, would be best.

You could see the planet when you go out and in.

I thought the stations still pointed towards the planet or did I just imagine that.
