[UNBOXING] Slaw Devices Rudder Pedals, model Viper RX

Excellent kit, I already emailed him for price and delivery timings, and I continue to be impressed. However, my wallet is making me wait a little longer! Not that the price doesn't reflect the quality, it certainly does, but like a lot of people, I have to balance real life issues with my gaming wants and needs..

I look forward to more reviews please, and will you be obtaining the telescopic dampers and fitting them as well please?

Thanks for posting this..

Yes, that was my intention, however you need to apply some force to operate them, they are not plastic or composite pedals (full metal). They actually feel just like those in a real airplane. For now they are not fixed to the floor,
so the damper will probably have to wait. Combined with the Warthog HOTAS this is the best setup I've had until now.

Is there a software program like the Thrustmaster pedals for accuracy?(Like S curves but for pedals.)

No, it's plug and play, works outstanding, no need to adjust at all. You can adjust it in the software you use, ED, FSX,DCS and so on.

Very nice! Was tempted, but I have the MFG Crosswinds (together with the Warthog) so couldn't justify switching.

Does it move about much, since you don't have it fixed to the ground? I had to put a rubber mat under my pedals, and weigh the mat down with some spare weights or otherwise they'd slip if I pushed too hard. But the Crosswinds are 'heel on pedal' as opposed to the Viper's heel-on-ground, so it might be different.

Its heavy as a block of cement, the WH is a marshmallow compare to it :) I changed my chair to one without wheels because, the force needed push me away.
I can't describe better than it feels like the real thing.

That thing looks like an absolute beast. What a piece of engineering. I've also been looking at the MFG, and both look like excellent choices.

I personally ended up getting the VKB T-rudder pedals, seeing as I play on an office chair, the the more vertical action made sense. I am looking to build a coffee table that converts to a cockpit, though, and a Slaw or MFG would be my choice for that, I think, if only due to the toe brakes.

Gorgeous hardware... if I flew more (and could hide it from the GF) I'd absolutely own a set. Congrats!! :)

You can't hide it, that is for sure :D

Toe brake are great I use them in ED for the later thrust control UP\DOWN.

Interesting, I use a Ch Pro throttle, so havelateral thrusters mapped to the analog thumbstick, butthe possibilities are interesting. Quite useful for the SRV, I imagine!

Huge congratulations on obtaining probably best rudder pedals available :) But can i ask you one thing, why there is no "name plate"?

Lysander lysan, now you have had your pedals a short while I was wondering if your still happy with them or had any issues at all . Lots of nuts and bolts, anything work loose after a while? ..I'm thinking of ordering some but unfortunately there's not a great deal about them online.
