Can we get both instant and timed based on ship ability?

For those of us against instant for immersions sake, can we get a time delay option based on the ships ability? You know, allow us to "blaze our own trail" when we don't want to cheat?

I appreciate instant trasfer.

But I support this idea.

Edit

Also: I am also thinking that adding a short cutscene with ingame engine would remove mostly of the complaint I have seen about delayed transfer

Ye Gods, this is ridiculous.
If you don't want to use a game feature, then * don't use it*!

I don't touch CQC, and I haven't died yet.

Why is there all this agita over something so minor?

I don't really care if you are for or against this feature and can respect either position. But when you portray one side as 'cheat' then you better not be a hypocrite.

Are you admitting you 'cheat' every time you die and instantly get returned to new ship via insurance re-buy?

Do you 'cheat' when you use any other function which ought to have passage of time but do not? (re-arm, repair, etc).

No - I do not really equate those other functions as identical to instant ship transfer, and can see the argument others may make why for them instant ship transfer is one straw too many on the camel's back vs. instant repair....but I am not the one calling people or labeling one side of the pro/con debate as 'cheat'

So back to the question - are you a hypocrite or do you find all other instant immersion actions equally bad?

@jacozilla, if it's implemented as it's been described (any distance, no FSD needed) it's far more cheaty than any other feature in game, as it breaks the fundamentals that have already been established in universe. And honestly, I'm probably going to continue using sidewinder taxi's rather than use this feature (if implemented as described), for exactly that reason. Which sucks, because it leaves players that WANT immersion no viable options to easily move their ships.

@bitstorm, it's not thread spam, it's the majority of the community looking for a solution to a very poorly implemented idea. This would be much easier if FD would actually participate in the discussion, rather than make light of what is very obviously *not* a small issue for the majority of people playing this game that participate in the community.
