the hunt STARTS on the 28th. the fact we got clues early doesn't mean anything really, they (the message givers) were just giving us time to decypher them. We will still need all hands on deck tommorow to actually hunt. (although the Cobra arrives at 9pm. The Type9 at 10pm. It's going to be a late one, unless we find out otherwise)
One is 21.00, written in 24hr format. Why do we assume the 10.00 is 10.00 PM?
Maybe the trader will be there at 10.00 in the 24hr format and there's an 11 hour delay between the two.
There's no good answer which leaves us free to grumble and mutter into our empty tea cups
Generally I think it's a case that when you need this thread the most it becomes kind of useless because it moves too fast.
Do the separate channels on Discord help or not?

Damn, I wish there was a thread that was separate with its own first post that tied together the hunt so far in the correct order

because 10am is too early. It makes sense to keep them together-ish. You're a mysterious group, revealing the truth, possibly (probably) trying to keep under the radar of the Feds who are all over the Pleiades. You'd do it quick, wam/bam, and be gone. Also, 10am excludes the US players (or most of them). 9/10 pm is a good crossover time, as I said yesterday. (but i totally get the discrepency, 10pm should be 22:00 etc. maybe it is. No doubt we will be there, whether it's 10am or 10pm hehe)

i checked out ngalia, saw the message, havent seen any npcs, i think merope 5c will be where all this unfolds so currently burning back to there where ill check in tomorrow at the expected 2100 28th

One question i have this will almost no doubt be open only or is it something that will appear in solo and private as well for those inclined

Rizal does a great job - but he can't be expected to be everywhere at once. If more people were responsible for updates, it would make the front page more useful.

I'm quite sure this will be an automated thing with no live input required from the devs since the game instances players anyway.
This should be playable by anyone by themselves so the event should happen in every instance, be it open, private or solo, as long as you are at the right location at the right time.
the wreck/thing will probably be in solo and private. Don't know if the NPCs will be though, like Salome you may need to pop into open to see those. But don't worry, we'll put up every clue, meeting and hint here as we find it, you won't miss out if you stay solo

just a thought. the clue that leads to alpha says "thats just the start". Maybe the start, the first word of the alpha message, is the key to the cipher. They do that in other cipher systems. Elementary, but worth a shot

Even in open, if you can't get into the same instance you won't be able to see any special NPCs or official FD players. Therefore the thing to be found should be permanent, and the clues should be able to be followed without meeting the NPCs (if they will play in open). Otherwise, just like permanent POIs which you can see regardless of your instance, they can use special NPCs which will be permanent across the board. Maybe this is the exact reason they are doing it this way, testing a new way to create permanent NPCs.

Do you take that big of a rep hit for carrying them around?
I get scanned sucessfully once every couple of hours, despite handing in 20 missions at a time with the local factions im carrying several million in fines which im paying off as I get them and the fed factions have gone from naturally freindly as my fed rank is top tier to unfriendly/hating me.
My overall Fed standing is creeping down too......maybe the ups aren't anything to do with the Feds given how hard this is hitting me, they seem to hate/fear them
