Oh and have a UA and UP on board, if anyone thinks of something useful to do with them !

MB has supported the view that actually it's not. Simple logic that refutes that idea: UAs point at Merope - Barnacles have been found in multiple systems including Merope since day one; and in multiple nebulae for the last few months.

Merope is 'special' for some other reason specific to the UAs/UPs.

My vote is something hidden that will reveal itself possibly in 2.2

I have a feeling humanity might be caught in the crossfire of a war between whoever made the UAs/UPs and whoevever 'made' the Barnacles. But that's just my imagination :)

Yeah that's my current thoughts on it.

the UA's are harvesting the energy from the Pleidies, a giant alien dyson sphere. The UPs are just checking Ammonia planets in the area, to make sure there are no Thargoids lurking about.

Reasons: Thargoids are insectoid. The Artifacts and probes (and even barnacles) aren't, they are more.. aquatic. Marine. Fish-like. A different alien species to the Thargoids.

I think you got Dillon and Granger reversed in first post. Granger "hangs" around the Apademak, which means he is not arriving anywhere. While Cobra "due to arrive" somewhere, which means Cobra is moving. So Granger is not in Cobra and Kohl is in T9, so Granger is in an Asp.

Also, if Cobra is due to arrive, then she is the "someone" mentioned in Persei code. Which means Cobra arrives at 21-00 to Apademak.

And, a little reaching here, but still. I noticed wording is different there - while Dillon NEVER carries cargo, Granger just DOESN'T. So Granger possibly can carry cargo, and in between Bounty Hunter and Explorer, explorers might carry cargo, while bounty hunters rarely put cargo holds on at all. So yeah, i think Dillon is our Bounty hunter in a Cobra.

well then we purge the fish aliens and unpurge that thargoids
or just purge and enslave both thats the human way afterall:D

I mentioned this elsewhere, but I am sure its a good tactic to use.
I have covered my ship in tin foil and tinted my canopy with reflective mirror tint, this should stop the interference from mind control and death rays. It will not be long before I get pulled over by the security services for an illegal modification and probably a missing tail light. Was thinking about making crop circles signs on moons with my SRV in Merope to confuse the mystery hunters.
