Very interesting. By the way, that pic I posted is of a kids toy called a "fortune teller" and also..."bug catcher". Curiouser and curiouser.
Kids used to play with them all the time when I was young and people still used flint a lot. You could combine the sections to give different outcomes.

If I wasn't so tipsy I'd probably have a go at making that thing as it probably helps decode the info on that sheet. I may of course be totally wrong, but there are definite folds in that sheet.
