The first person to find is turning up in Cail at 10am server time on the 28th of August.

Which is 9 hours away.
Correction the first confirmed time is 10.00 in Cail, it is then assumed that we have someone turning up in Apademak at 21.00 who we need to find the third person. I would be slightly cautious on the second one though as we are combining the following clues to come to this

1) A Cobra is due to arrive at 21.00
2)
someone who wasn t carrying cargo will arrive in apademak at
3)
GRANGER DOESNT CARRY CARGO. HE HANGS AROUND APADEMAK
4)
Dillon never carries cargo

The way I read it is that Kohl is the Trader and is in Cail at 10.00, Dillon or Granger arrives at a system in a Cobra at 21.00 BUT the system is not confirmed to be Apademak and Granger could be in Apademak at anytime after 0.00

Took an escape pod salvage missions from Christian terminal and it's doing weird stuff. I'm in open on Xbox.
Define wierd stuff, or do screenshots.
I am flying 300k LS. After that I will drop by. Christian was my pick for location there to look.
Seen trader Kohl C... there being unhappy about being scanned by police today (NPC).

Is there an explanation as to how this sort of messages/hint delivery method could make sense? It can't be coming from thargoids. And if it's coming from humans, the fact that they know so much should be reason for us to not care about or fear the thargoids because these humans know so much that thargoids are something like their pets/slaves/toys.

Or, the only other alternative i see for creating such a silly hint trail is that some humans have figured something out but are not willing to share the info publicly due to the nature of said info - for example it could allow certain warring groups to easily destroy all thargoids - so they wish to keep this info hidden from warmongering factions, at least initially, by leaving hints that only inteligent individuals will figure out (with the assumption that inteligent people are more likely to attempt a peaceful approach to aliens rather than guns blazing).

Am i missing something?

Well, my thought on the clues are that Dillon is the explorer and Granger the bounty hunter. Possibly the explorer has the thing we must see and the bounty hunter knows he will arrive there... he's been paid to stop him. Of course, in this version of events the trader really would be a red herring...

Nah, for all I know we need to be checking in Pand...or even Jaques :D

Id like to point something out. Thargoids use base 8. that means they can use numbers like 4 etc.
You-know what number keeps turning up?

4 and 8

1) A Cobra is due to arrive at 21.00
2) someone who wasn t carrying cargo will arrive in apademak at
3) GRANGER DOESNT CARRY CARGO. HE HANGS AROUND APADEMAK
4) Dillon never carries cargo

4

and...

To find more clues you'll need pre-logistics support in a system with

1) one star
2)two belts
3) three rings
4) enough radiation to turn you green.

4

The hunt begins on the 28th <--- 8

I suspect thargoid. or a thargoid like race.

This is probably another treasure hunt from Alfred Jeffress, who has done previous treasure hunts in universe using similar methods.

In base 8, the largest figure is 7. 8 decimal translated to octal is written 10.

I believe this is the Pilots Federation guiding US players to first contact for PEACE. The Federation will NOT allow peace towards them, and I feel the same is for the Empire. The Alliance has a bigger role to play in this in the next few months I think too...

This feels like the movie "Contact"

This huge build up...

...and then the alien is her father.

why are we following traders to find aliens?

If Soontil is anything to go by, Alien artefacts fetch a good price on the market.
If someone found a cache of alien nick nacks, no doubt they would be selling them

I don't know about Adamak, or griefers in particular, but I was certainly interdicted by a player in a Cutter at a UP spawn planet earlier today. I think he might have been asking for cargo, but I'm not sure as the message I had was in Spanish, and I only recognised "por favor".

wow, that is a very polite!! I mean, for a pirate, and for a Spanish one!

Contact is one of my all-time favourite sci-fi stories involving aliens. The fact that it's her father is a much more interesting look at how 'capable' they are than if it were just a Grey or something.

However, I think we are definitely getting something more than just meeting an Alien who looks like David Braben :p

Bedtime for me, Commanders. See you in Cail in 10 hours.

The alien looking like her father was to soften the psychological shock of going through that wormhole, launched across the galaxy and meeting aliens.
Hopefully the thargoids will be so thoughtful.
