Game time is NOT set to GMT
Game time is set to real-world GMT. Whatever happened in game-history that changed 3302 into a leap year and threw the clocks off is unknown.
Game time is NOT set to GMT
But it works if you view Earth by looking out of the window...Game time is NOT set to GMT
(...)
Thus Galactic mean Time is not the same as or set to Greenwich Mean Time, when you view Earth in game

For all practical purposes Game time and GMT are identical. How FD decide to offeset in-game planetary positions and rotations between IRL 2016 galaxey and IGL 3302 galaxey is -for all intents and purposes - irrelevant in the original situation. GMT is GMT galaxey/solar system/planetary/object location and rotation are something entirely different.
Is that time in game or a particular realworld time zone?
Maybe the Asteroid strike in 2135 altered the Earth's rotation slightly
Seems to be an awful lot of speculation on the first posts these days
Bullet 1 is very strong.
Bullet 2 is pretty strong.
Bullet 3 is weak and represents a theory.
And where the hell did white come from?
Sorry, if we're demanding that people read the first page as gospel then we can't put up pet theories.
awww I thought you were going to suggest flying into the Mothership, with a Macbook, and planting a Mac virus into the Mothership to make it go boom and stop the likkle Thargons in their tracks. Disappointed nowBut just in case there were Thargoids there, we know one simple trick (and you don't have to pay me) to finish off every mother ship:

on an unrelated note, a buddy of mine asked me what the hunt was all about and if he should head this way. Do we know, or is it safe to assume this will be open for all players? He doesn't have Horizons, so I don't want to have him make the trek down if it'll be a dead end for him at some point.
unknown at this point. We know one of the clues we had to find was on a planet base, but the rest (so far) has been in regular space. He can come along, be part of it anyway, it's eyes we need at this point.
when daylight savings ends, UK time will be the same as in-game UTC time. Which is GMT (cos GMT is unaffected by daylight savings, it is a constant). Doesn't matter what happens in game, its what happens in the Cambridge offices and the server farm![]()
I've said this upthread, but it still seems relevant.
We are looking for a Red ship with a cargo of Fish.
Red herring anyone?
