I've just checked this for you there is a khol but he dosent have ED on his games played list it looks like a 360 account that's not been used in some time.
There is an active kohl but he dosent have elite dangerous.

Considering how I'm lucky because living in Australia makes it almost impossible to instance with SDC, unfortunately that means that I won't be able to see the type-9 either so.. good luck everyone, I'm going back to my normal business, I think this even is not for me.

I don't disagree, but the flip side of that is that Kohl apparently got killed before he could deliver the next clue. Some would call that entirely predictable. And some would call that farcical.

Which is why FD have back ups.

Or, to give an in-fiction reason; Look how disposable Kohl was. Whoever is enticing us forward has many ways of getting this information to us. They have already admitted this is a game to them. They clearly have some far-reaching power to produce these signals wherever they want in a casual, game manner.

Dropped Fish and Narcotics at the CG. It does nothing to the progress (even if Fish have 999,999 demand, as in other CGs these days).

Proposition : the CG was just a way to convey a message. With a galaxy-wide megaphone. Should be safe to assume, the actual CG is unimportant.

Did you sign up for the cg?
Maybe wait a bit for the transaction servers that are getting hammerd by this event refresh

There isn't enough punishment for player murder that's for sure - I'm fine with the idea of people doing it, but there's no negative for doing it, apart from the community's ire.

Mate, I was in open, and wasn't interdicted once. Even saw the red T-9. The sum total of contact with other players was a bit of a chat and three friends requests.

Open play isn't 'forcing' you into PvP. This was always likely to be an event with 'live' NPCs, which are impossible to put into your solo game. I know you are frustrated, but it's really not that big a deal.

Oh sunshine it is a big deal, your changing the game rules to suit yourself as far as Adam here is concerned, you need to let people and players know first what your intent is, how you plan the events. Also anything like this should be relayed to subscribers of this game before it starts. Allowing an event to play out in open play means you give up the right to private play, to allow any other player to take action against you. This isnt fair i didnt buy elite dangerous to pvp, i want that crap il go back to eve online where the rest of the space pvp trolls live.

Fairness is not treating everyone equally. The caveat for not being open is that you don't get interdicted or have to do PvP. That is the reward for not being in Open.

Being in open is more dangerous but has more opportunities. Risk/Reward.

But yes: The message may be the point, or this a red herring.

this should be implemented differently, this whole approach is unnecessary and inefficient, there are what 20, maybe 30 players that even know this aspect of the game exists specifically because it's implemented this way. It's fundamentally flawed, the whole pretend to be a npc never hits the right note some of you old timers might remember myst: uru back in the day then factor in instancing, greifing and a host of other crap.
This approach to the mysteries need to be changed.
