Also makes the game more alive in this instance I think... A Type 9 broadcasts his location to the entire galaxy and doesn't expect "pirates"? Of course people will come after him! It's quite funny, and puts people on alert, giving combat oriented people something to defend I guess...

Exactly you cant expect to come into an online sandbox game with a combat orientation then moan that some people like to hunt players for fun........I mean if thats what they like to do im ok with it its sandbox for a reason. If FD didnt want it to happen they would have locked it down into a private group.

My advice to defend against griefers is for honest players to wing up and protect each other. If wing members watch for each other and for whole wings to help other wings you can defend against these skankers.

What if this is all just a reverse-ARG for these guys?

Bah!

I had a quick brainwave about a possible location of Mahina Dillon, but either she's long gone or I was wrong...

I took a closer look at her name (seemed quite unusual) and it turns out it's a name of a Hawaiian lunar deity and her name literally means "moon" in that language[1]. So I did a quick search; and while I didn't find any stellar bodies named that, I did find a Dillon Hub, a planetary outpost located on the surface of a moon orbiting HR 494 A2... and I was wrong. :(

Oh, well... maybe someone has some other bright ideas.

I was just looking at their names myself. I think you may have stopped a bit too soon...

Mahina is indeed a Hawaiian name, meaning 'Moon' (and it's a girl's name so come on folks, let's get the pronouns right; it is the 34th century after all)

Logan is derived from the Gaelic 'lagan' which is a diminutive of 'lag' which means... hollow.

So, thus far we have HOLLOW and MOON.

Of course, gankers are irritating usually, but this has the potential for an absolutely huge PvP battle, as people try to attack and defend Granger lol

yep exactly sure some of those same people who i see moan about gankers all the forums are funny enough the same people who say they want more player battles, excitement and less grinding fun. They then get what they wish then complain about it and scream griefers. They aint griefing unless they are sitting at the station popping you every time you fly out after the last death

I've headed back to my haunts in the bubble, earlier this morning.

Are there any streams going to be up from Canonn or players seeking the clues?

"You should have everything you need to find us" - I wonder if this refers to finding the clue-giving pilots or the mystery they hide... If this statement referred to "us" as in them and their secret we could very well be overthinking stuff (most likely not the case, but still a possibility) and these additional clues might be just additional pointers to the already pinpointed location... maybe this last clue will be a lot more direct and a lot easier to tell whether true or false...

Let's also not forget that lies cant be measured, so we don't know whether our liar(s) lied about everything or just minor stuff. There's no way to confirm this, "always lying" can refer to never telling the complete truth only a partial one. So if we say the first guy lied, we cant say there are no liars except him or both of the remaining ones are liars, that part might have been true, so don't discard ANYTHING just because someone might be lying, we gotta explore: Every. Single. Possibility.

We don't know what's at the end of this all, could be something small, could be something significant only to a part of the playerbase, but it could be something big too... We didn't know about the existence of UAs for quite a while, right?

HA. I was wondering about Logan, didn't know its entomological roots, actually... splendid tinfoilage indeed.

Now to see what's the third fellow's name.
