while waithing for the the moment the second cg might come up

i came up with some new info made up with the clue's we have but its not much of a narrowing down

Anyway here it is:

cross-reference ing the crashed ship pic from the gamescom messages with our current info
came up to get me one more nail into the dillon is lieing coffin because:
MMBs1Fnsmlcleanedcontrast%20v2%20animated.gif
the ship is crashed on a planet that by the colors hard but can be determined its an ice planet
its also looks like to be in a crater or near a mountain range that has a part of it missing in the middle

we can also determine that this is the site cause there is a cobra on the bottom left wich can be granger
afterall hes the one wo found this first.
after he found the crashed ship the "incident" happend wich i assume is the 4th gamescom message where we can see a white cobra
as seen here:
tj1vu09.png

thats it for now

Alright, so I went and got 32 tons of narcotics (it's all I can carry with my Cobra) and now I'm sitting at Cail trying to deliver them and I can't seem to figure out how (my first CG). I signed up for it before I went to Bluford, too.

looking back over the clues its easy to assum that Dillon would by the lier. As Kohl mentions the system having a M-Class Star and Granger saying he visited a system with 10 bodies and one star. rereading all the clues I think it might be Granger that is the lier and his clue is written as a way to throw us off.

Dillion never said the planet he visited was in the same system as the binary pulsars. His clue was "I visited a rocky planet at latitude 34 near binary pulsars." The key word is near. The Binary Pulsars is the starting point, from that location we are then looking for an M-Class Star system within a few light years. Now as for Grangers clue "I visited a system with 10 bodies and one sun. after the incident I woke up in a system far away." This clue is to narrow down the search. The M-Class Star must either have more or less than 10 bodies. Any system that matchs this discription we can rule out because he always lies.

I think this is how we find out location, but i have no idea were the binary pulsars are on the map to start looking.

You can start here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_pulsar

Kohl isn't lying and states a single M-class star.
Granger confirms that with his 'one sun'.
Making Granger the liar requires a bit more work by assuming that Kohl left something out: 'a single M-class star' plus other stars that he didn't mention.
Nice summary; I think it's pretty clear that Dillon is lying and not the others.

However, I don't think that means that her clue towards a rocky planet, binary pulsar etc. are wrong. Only one single part of the clue could be wrong and the clue as a whole would still be a lie.

E.g. in an extreme case, her "I visited a rocky planet at latitude 34 near binary pulsars." could even mean "Someone else, not me, visited a rocky planet at latitude 34 near binary pulsars." For example Kohl or Granger. This would still leave the infomation that the system is near binary pulsars correct!

So, shall we report that commander in-game for griefing, deliberately misleading on a community effort? I'd say so :)

It's possible, but for now I'm just ignoring that clue altogether when it comes to identifying candidate systems.
The various interpretations of which part of that statement may be a lie don't help us yet.

I have posted about the antenna but it is ignored but the community that does read this thread
I posted about the orientation of the stars.... Twice. Dw, you're not alone, the focus appeaes to be on the clues given from yesterdays hunt and the CGs that are in place atm.

I'll only really be annoyed if someone posts the same thing and gets all the credit lol

I agree that that seems to be the best strategy. I.e. a system with 1 M class star and 10 bodies, whether landable or not. (--> Pik Toc?)

BTW, where would be a good place to stock up on Narcotics for the CG by now?

Lee Station at CHONS looks to have in the 100,000 range, not there yet to confirm though

Lee Station in Tjapai had about 100k, probably less now...doesn't look like Chons sells drugs at all.

Edit Tjapai is down to 32k already, going to need to go really long range soon enough.
