If we are indeed looking for a system near a binary pulsar,
it would be very conveniant since :

  1. The only way to know a neutron star is a pulsar in ED is that the neutron star in question is known as a pulsar IRL. There is nothing saying : this is a pulsar in ED.
  2. There is only one know binary pulsar : PSR J0737-3039. It can be found in game an lies 3K lyr away. (i.e. not that far).

currently routing from tjapai with market connector enabled, check on eddb, lee station is 31k now

did you noticed that CG is "hidden" in galaxy map? No yellow mark for me

I posted about the orientation of the stars.... Twice. Dw, you're not alone, the focus appeaes to be on the clues given from yesterdays hunt and the CGs that are in place atm.

I'll only really be annoyed if someone posts the same thing and gets all the credit lol
I think a lot of the community here is ignoring it because of who sent it. It's from someone who has been "throwing bones" that amount to nothing for quite a while. And any official hint would never come handwritten on a piece of paper via this person's Twitter account imho.
So, it's nothing against those of you who are working on it. It's just sort of a consensus among several here that it will lead to nothing.

I go long range. At 100ly range there are tons (literally) of narcotics.

Woods station in Xibe had over 250k when I last looked a few hours ago. 99ly from Cail.

Correction: Station is called Wood City

Nice, that's my current destination. Hoping, their will be some restocking going on soon at some of the closer ones. No worries though, all in good time

I can't seem to locate PSR B1913+16 on the galaxy map has this got a different name in game? Did locate PSR J0737-3039 but am unable to jump out that way. Just got a Explorer ASP with 5A Frame Shift Driver but dosn't have the range to plot a route.

Sorry, i couldn't find it on the op or any other summary (reddit). Do we have any idea how to get the other two candidates (Dillon and Granger) their respective goodies or is that still a mystery? Are we waiting for the Kohl cg to finish first? I'm aware of the suggested places to drop stuff off for the other two, but so far there was no way to meet either of them, right? - or if it was even the right place (3 McMullenVision to drop of the tobacco for example), and i'm just wondering if it's possible to just go ahead trying to get the second clue from the other two, narrowing the whole thing down somewhat more..

Are there even 6 million tons of narcotics in the bubble? A quick look on eddb makes me doubt that, since most systems only have 10-20k tons and there are just a few with over 100k tons.
Seems to me like Kohl is trying to accumulate all the narcotics in the bubble.

Wow, when I decided to boycott this pile of horse hooey when it became clear that fd had abandoned one of its base principles by including open only sections, I never realised how much pain I would save myself.
If you lot really consider a good science mystery to be little more than a badly written crossword puzzle, then help yourself. But next time, please make your own thread. This isn't science, nor is it a great galactic mystery, and Canonn are debasing themselves having any part of it.

I have to say that on a personal level, I agree with you. I have steerd away from this since the first hints about PRE-Log. Partly becaue I didn't feel it was my kind of science and partly because I was just happy and lazy after the great UP discoveries.
I'm however not able to muster any ill feeling towards the use of actors. It's an interesting, low cost way to address the comunity and it shows that the instancing system has it's problems and that sabotage of game play is easy at the moment. It's good that FD sees this, first hand.

I agree with you that the hunt should have had a separate thread. This was atempted, but was actually stoped by the mods. Lesson learned for them to.

On a posetive note, one can hop in and out of the hunt at will. If there is a nice CG for Lavian Brandy, I might even join.:D

Had to reread that thinking you meant it was because it was sent by ME lol. That's all fair enough, perhaps mention it on the FP that it's not considered worth chasing??

It refills over time - we have 6 days. Will probably be done in 1-2 at this rate.

So do the drugs need to be delivered in open?
no, i'm doing it in mobius or solo. it's a CG, it doesnt matter

This is, this IS science. Doing this is no different to 2 threads of people looking for Probes. Its the end result that matters, not the method.

Like, atomic bombs. science, right? but they had to find Uranium, and someone had to mine it, before anything else could be done. Science isn't just sat in a bench in a labcoat, it requires a huge amount of "donkey" work. And even if you subscribe to the thing that puzzles and such aren't "science".. well, when we solve this, we will potentially open up lots completely NEW fields of science - alien biology, alien linguistics, alien anthropology, alien technology etc. There'll be enough "pure" science for 100 new threads :) So lets get the Hunt-Uranium dug, lets split the Alien-atom, and THEN we can get on with the science.
