To be honest, in Brazil (Portuguese) we call our star of "Sol", and I think is the same for spanish, since the portuguese took most of it's words from latin, Sol is probably the way the Sun is called in that language and is probabaly the reason why the name of the star is called that way in the game. (But I may be wrong about that)

Exactly and Solar is anything relating to Sol (Latin: Solaris) or Sun or whatever other languages call it. And there is only one Sol and only one Solar system.

Uhh, no, it`s 'sonne' in german. Star is 'Stern'. In german the sun got the exclusive deal.

Yes, they have been decoded quite some time ago. All 4 interviews had code in them. That was the start of this whole hunt.
