I'm currently 15,000 ly from the bubble, on the opposite side of the Pleiades. I've so far honked close to 6,000 systems and scanned 70,000 planets without seeing any trace of these aliens. If they're out there, fine. Good for them. If they want to buy my exploration data, the better.

But as far as threats go, they'll have to take a back seat, far behind humans and Neutron stars.

The dude from the Cannon put that UP sound wave through his spectrograph thing and found a hidden map at exactly the same time I was spelling a rude word on my dash with bobbleheads

CMDR Chris Simon always was first and foremost a simple trucker. He would take a month off, now and then, to see the galaxy, sometimes went hunting for sport with friends.
But generally, politics, relations and people of any race and species were as alien and distant to him as the Andromeda's core.

He loved numbers. Sifting through the markets, calculating optimal routes and most of all he loved having the ship's holds full of cargo and bank accounts full of credits.

He did hear something unknown is coming, rumours of an alien race. He thought - "Well, if there's business to be made..." Then shrugged his shoulders and plotted another jump.

This is true, and if the aliens are mostly interested in playing jazz music, that's one thing.

On the other hand .. I've no intention at all of getting my face sucked off by xenomorphs!!
